I would finally have time to get a theme published on TF, and hire some support so I only had to do the fun parts
I used to be the same, then I moved in with my boyfriend who insists on being awake during the day and now I’m probably about a third less productive
Thanks, I just wasn’t sure and didn’t want to end up getting banhammered for breaking some rule about when to reupload and when to not
Might give it another go at some point, though the purpose is obviously gaming cards and they tend to mostly just have one layout and be simple so they’re easily scanned in a tense showdown situation. I’ll see what I can do!
I’ve not really been active on the marketplaces for a long time and some things are confusing to me nowadays, I remember the process being simpler back in the day.
For example, just received this message from a reviewer:
“Unfortunately your submission Futuristic SciFi Game Cards isn’t ready for GraphicRiver and cannot be resubmitted as it did not meet our minimum requirements for quality and/or marketplace policies. In order for submissions to be considered for sale they must be of high aesthetic and technical quality, unique to our library and cannot be in violation of Envato’s policies. Please see our Knowledgebase for more information: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/399/57/"
Does this mean I can never ever reupload even with major improvements, or if I make enough changes will it still be possible? Ta
For reference, this was the thing I uploaded:
I’m in, and I only had to sell out a tiny bit in terms of swirly stuff. Thanks again to both of you
Oh maybe, I hadn’t thought of that since it wasn’t my intention to specifically “go metro”. Good thinking!
I’ll have a play around and resubmit it, perhaps along with some begging. Thanks for the help, at least your reply suggests I wasn’t being completely blind in my own searches which is always reassuring.
It was under print templates > cards & invites.
Good to know there’s no time limit, thanks. I can relax and eat some crisps instead of worrying
After a few years of web designing I thought I’d start learning more about designing for print, this is apparently not my forte given that my first attempt has been soft rejected twice for the same reason.
The below item was rejected, not for being too simple which was my main worry but instead for being too similar to other items on the marketplace. I (thought I) did due diligence before even starting to create the design but obviously I missed some similar items somewhere. I don’t mind being rejected, this print stuff is all new to me so it was expected, but it’s a bit unhelpful to get no evidence backing up the reviewer’s point.
The reviewer didn’t provide any links to similar items, so I was hoping someone around here might know of some. It’s hard to make changes to make it “more unique” if I’m not sure what the other similar items are in the first place.
Also, I’ve never had an item soft rejected before. Is there a time limit on making changes, or a cap on allowed resubmissions?
