There are no “rules”. Do you already know how to paint and draw (using actual paper), or are you starting from scratch? You might also have a look at using Painter instead of Photoshop, since it’s actually geared at, as the name suggests, digital painting.
I know how to draw, I don’t know how to paint. Is that a problem?
The problem with changing softwares is that I’m more used to use Photoshop, and when I change softwares, it will become frustrating. I’ll give it a try anyways.
Thanks for the reply Zeplix!
I’m trying to learn the art of the digital painting. I’ve found that, when you’re trying to learn somethings on the internet, It can become frustrating and irritating. So, my question is: How can I start digital painting? I have my Wacom, I have the spirit, but, what are the rules?
Well, i can tell you that I have the same problems.
1. Put yourself a time limit per day, like 40 min. Or, the thing I do, instead of playing games: read. I suggest Tolkien.
2. Write your ideas on a paper.
3. Try to not be alone in your home. Because when you’re, is very easy to watch porn.
Hope this can help you!
