What is expected if the new upcoming support feature applies:
- Restrict all customers, who doesn’t have paid subscription, having any opportunity to contact the seller (posting comments on dashboard, registering on support forums, have a purchase code, download any further item updates, rate the item etc.)
- For those, who are willing to have the item support just remain everything the same with possibility to extend it every next 6 month after purchase (item download link works only during chosen subscription period and regenerates in case the customer extends subscription).
I would much rather see a yearly renewal model (renew your license at a discount to continue to receive updates and support, or continue using your current version forever if you choose not to renew), and leave the support expectations the way they are now.
+1 That’s what I’m saying for several years now. We’re forced to abandon themes and keep pushing new ones instead of taking care of existing client websites.I also think that what is proposed by Envato is over complicated and might cause many problems. On the other side to get some extra $$ is better than nothing.
+1 Probably Half Year basis could work as well..
Thanks guys a lot for posting here your feedbacks about our CarDealer theme. In any way we decided to improve the theme design according to the staff request and we hope that you and themeforest reviewers would like it both. Please give us one or two more weeks to finish it and upload the updates. Regards, Alex

I was announcing this theme more than half year ago and collected a lot of customers who are waiting for appearing it on themeforest to purchase it.
Please give us your feedback in case you interested in purchasing it or you just like it as it is.
Thanks a lot for your kindness and help!
Once again, your feedback is much appreciated!
As you may know, Wordpress stores all extra data (it’s called “metadata”) very slightly in it’s database. That’s the biggest problem of WordPress functionality, but not developers, who produce themes. Transferring database from one to other server is very risk-full, you may loose that part of data which stores in metafields (at least 80% of guarantee). So we’d not suggest you to transfer your data.
In any way we found a solution for that. Thanks to Brad Touesnard who developed a very helpful plugin WP Migrate DB for cases with transferring Wordpress’ database. Please read the description on the plugin’s page and follow their instructions, then you’ll be able to transfer your database properly without loosing any part of your website data.
They are really good ones!
