Thank you guys and Envato yet again, its rewards like this that make this AJ marathon an interesting one. :))
I know, those bloody authors keep uploading stuff…;]]
I could not agree with you more. A possible solution to the apparent staff shortage is to allow “vetted” members to review submissions in exhange for promotional exposure in a top reviewers section. Kind of like a tastemakers list. The motivation to approve more products of great quality would result in better exposure for the reviewer.
f*ck exposure, give them dolla instead;]]
I know it sounds crazy but if they oppened it up like wikipedia almost and allow us authors with an email to say if a track is good enough here or not, by majority, in our spare time, casualy, they would have the problem of shortage of revieweres sorted. And it could be free or incentivesed.. I know, crazy but..
Remember almost instant publish time new years not recent but the one before? We had tunes published here in under a minute from pressing that button.. Everything was so much more vibrant and fulfilling really, seeing your work perform good from a start, so fast! Now the 8-10 day thing is like, why do swings when I already been to disneyland. (spoken with a hilarious black voice)..
Im from Poland, but Spain is a great place for a meetup
I don’t know why anyone could see this as good news. I’m an Alchemy & Camel Space user and bought almost all their expansions but I’m on Windows. So how is this good for me? It’s the second time I get punished for trusting a product which then was bought by Apple. In 2002 I just setup my first PC studio with the then new Logic 5 and anything you could get at the time incl. a $7,000.00 custom build PC. 2 month later Apple bought Emagic and I was screwed. No, if anything we should be warned. What else will Apple buy in the future? Nothing is save because they have enough money. Sure if you are an Apple user you don’t care. But just imagine for a moment Microsoft would play the same game and starts buying music software and then only offers it for Windows. Imagine Microsoft would buy Logic (I know almost impossible but you never know) and would make that a Windows product only. Would you still say its “great” news?
Well, to be fair, Camel Audio was dead already, we all know why, and Apple showed up to pick up the pieces and maybe make something useful of it… still, sorry to hear your bad luck with Logic 5…
