If you add a PSD file layered with all images + hue/saturation layer for example, do you think that your new urban bg package will be more suitable for GraphicRiver ?
My last rejected GR item was autumn leaves PATTERNS based on a few manipulated photos. The reason was that they are more suitable for PhotoDune. How can be compared PAT file with 20 patterns and 20 JPG images?
PAT item will be $4 but 20 jpg x $1 = $20…From which marketplace the buyer will buy something? PhotoDune is one huge ocean of photos where images can easily sink and forget.
Main target of Envato and all of us is to sell more and more as in every business. So I don’t see where is the problem with your urban backgrounds and all other GR items based on manipulated photos to be sold on the two marketpalces – GraphicRiver and PhotoDune. We the authors will be grateful if somebody can answer this question.
Yes, they would probably fit a little better to the demands made??. But sales figures would not change significantly. Customers who buy are professional designers who can do the tricks they want and the remaining use them as they are.
I agree, it is not particularly transparent in the examples you refer to. I suppose that envato working on this matter behind the scenes. And hopefully we get any more clear guidelines, changes or what is now needed asap.

Just saw the new Print Designer Bundle, Really great items there, for an extremely low price.. I’m definitely grabbing my self a copy ..
just noticed that there is 3 fliers featured in the bundle, but 2 of them are by the same designer.. dont you guys think its a bit unfair ? i dont have anything against the designer, i actually think he does have a unique style, but there was a chance for another designer to get some exposure as well..What do you guys think ?
I strongly believe that the selected files from this growing and diverse library (envato), shows how diverse and far-reaching in all types of graphic design contained herein is.
But I think that you could easily have avoided having 2 files from the same designer, there are so many different and talented designers who are affiliated to envato that I personally would recommend immediately. Someone less visible and some very visible.
I realize that I have a file across two categories, it makes me very proud. And I appreciate that, but it does not change my opinion.
I imagine that envato during the selection of files also had considerations that we naturally knows nothing about, and which may have played a major role in who and what files have been selected.

Jup, great music! I especially like Jan Akkerman. He is an amazing guitarplayer who is still shredding away in a lot of projects! I’ve seen him play live a couple of times Thanks for sharing! That was very nice too watch!
Yes, he is amazing …. it was said that he was among the world’s best guitarists at the time
.......he was probably, but it is a title that is hard to put on music …!
And you’ve seen him ….. damn
...And yes sorry, the drummer is absolutely superb, Swings like hell….
That my friend is superb, loving the drum work…and of course the face melting insanity
Cheers for the shareSleight
I’m glad you like it, I thought for a moment I was all alone …..
Yeah, it’s crazy and extraordinary musically genius at the same time. His facial expression is unique and perhaps a bit hilarious in the beginning and his voice splendor is crazy …
This is madness and musical genius at its very best ….
I agree and I’m sure that envato listening now!
I believe that as soon as a photo is very manipulated, it has no place in photodune but here!
I understand, however envatos considerations, my urban backgrounds are perhaps right on the border if we follow the requirements described here below:As a general rule, files on GraphicRiver are:
- Layered files
- Able to be sold in packs
- Highly editable
- Used as elements of a wider design
- Flattened .jpg files
- Sold only as single images
- Commercially useful in their current form
- Used as stand-alone images, requiring minimal or no editing
They fit well on some of graphicrivers “requirements”: Able to be sold in packs, Used as elements of a wider design.
But also fits very well at all photodunes “requirements” with the big difference that the guaranteed sell much better on graphic river than photodune.
I understand that envato is forced to clean up, but you can not just delete people’s files without warning. They could give me a chance to re-edit / develop my backgrounds so they could meet more of the necessary requirements, if that’s what they wanted. Well, it was also an error in this case.
I agree that there is a need to highlight some guidelines for exactly the kind of files you mention here.

Glad to hear it got fixed! You make a good point about contacting authors before disabling items. That’s something that we should really be doing. Let me talk to some people
Yes, it’s mighty fine all now.
And yes, I think it would be appropriate to warn your members before disabling the files. Remember how much work that has gone into making these files.
But I still need to know what I shall go by.
The 11 pack bundles are now back to port ….
But no. 12 has been rejected, the same reason? or lost in the crowd?
No. 13 hangs in the queue now?
Will my urban backgrounds continue to be accepted on graphicriver?
