Thank you for the info. I will google to get some info on how to do it.
Enjoy the day.
I am wondering if there is a plugin out there that will pull either an author image, or a category image and automatically apply the image to a post thumbnail.
For instance if I have 4 writers I would like their articles to each have their author image for the thumbnail, and it would pull the image from author or category automatically instead of setting thumbnails manually. So the teasers would resemble some RSS feeds that have author images.
In fact if there was an RSS plugin that you could set an image for that would be great also.
Thanks, going to investigate now.
Is there a plugin out there that allows for fullscreen youtube backgrounds within a page. For example. There are many themes now where content strips can have, image, color or HTML video. I need one that does youtube also.
I deal with it a lot in joomla and they have plugins that allow me to do this. This next project is wordpress and to be honest I’ve looked, and am not finding what I need.
But basically if you look at any multi purpose page builder site out there they have strips, but none support youtube. I’m a little baffled, but am sure it is me just not searching correctly or something.
I know I can port to mp4s, but my server is not something I want to have 10 minute vids on, just too much.
Or if there is no plugin, maybe some code leads that could help me.
Cool, glad I asked in here, that helps also. Not the best with WP file structure yet. From plugins to code I can use the help, best to learn how Wordpress works IMO. Thanks Gareth
Awesome, thank you so much Charlie…I couldn’t find what I was looking for. Thanks for helping me.
OK not to start a fanboy war or anything, just a fact of my business. Most of my clients run Joomla, but I do have some clients and needs that I use Wordpress for. That being said I see a ton of very nice Multi-Use themes. My question/complaint is this…why is it so rare to be able to find a theme that can also arrange blogs in alphabetical order, or filter by title. Maybe I am missing a common plug in that does this, if so what is it? If not, why are all these super flexible themes always flexible in their look but not so much in the function/features?
Is this a Wordpress issue mostly, or is it really not that common that businesses would want to be able to list data in some sort of alphabetical order? Not to nitpick but half of these themes are awesome looking but totally useless in the real world without the ability for Title filtering.
Heck I even looked at some themes with Visual Builder modified for the theme and they removed the ability to filter by title. So I spent 55 to 60 on a door stop essentially, but it looks cool. it’s the most frustrating thing ever
What am I missing? is there a plugin? Is there any easy “hack”, not as familiar with WP’s file structure as I am with Joomla, that’s on me, but is there an easy hack to add it? Or do designers/developers just really over look the actual flexibility and increased sales they could generate with such a simple feature, I was told WP is no longer just for blogs, but I can’t find nice themes with Title filtering, Jupiter is one…and I am super happy with it but it seems a very cmomon missing link in almost every single theme I buy.
Not knocking the creative aspect of what I see here, it’s awesome, but equally frustrating that “flexible” only seems to apply to design and not function.
I like Wordpress, just don’t find it all that flexible still. What am I missing?
Title/alpha filtering to me would almost seem core at this point, why isn’t it? I would say half my clients would have a need for that feature. It seems such a trivial thing, yet it’s very rare in a WP theme. 2014 version 3.8 and no alpha filter, I have to be missing something.
Are there different blog layouts? That is also a big selling point with me at that price, can you do classic, two column, grid, isotope, etc.
Installing the themes yourselves…lol you are a brave man.
I don’t have much advice for you really, but I do enjoy your Puzzles theme. I think Zen is very nice, you also do two things I always look for when buying a theme, support and online documentation.
I also appreciate that you added an alpha/title filter on Puzzles, meant a lot to me. I have noticed a lot of people, mostly clients, seem to be obsessed with this page builder every theme seems to have…other than that from a consumer stand point, I really don’t know why. Puzzles doesn’t have one either and seems to be selling well, so what do I know…although Puzzles has a very distinctive look.
How flexible is the theme itself? That is something else I look for. I own quite a few like that, not to compare but to give an example Jupiter is a theme that to me is so flexible it’s hard for me to get away from it, it’s just so darn flexible on a page per page basis. Plus the page builder again, myself not a fan, but most of my clients are somewhat capable of running a site and page builders make their running a site so much easier for them.
I don’t mean to interject, I don’t sell Wordpress themes at Themeforest, but as a consumer I thought I would add my two cents.
I appreciate good support—you guys do a great job Documentation—you do that well Page Builder themes—I know the trouble with them, but at the end of the day most of my clients love them.
Site is very clean and professional looking, all things being equal with a lot of $55 dollar themes I look for flexibility, and not knowing the back end maybe it would help. LOL then again I do not know how involved that is. or really what ind of consumers you have here, are they mostly developers/designers implementing for clients, are they novices looking for ease of use, etc.
