WOW! Thanks for sharing AmigoProductions !
Would you be happy to pay people in advance, and they then can decide whether they create the logo or not?
I’m guessing probably not.
Then why should somebody be happy creating the logo, and you then can decide whether you pay them or not?Hire a high quality designer, agree payment terms, project requirements and included revisions prior to the work commencing…. and there shouldn’t be any need for you not to pay. They’ll work with you to get the result you need.
I contacted for this same work last year. But I refused to do the the job because of that same reason.
Would be much better to use a service on envatostudio to be sure to get the job done with the quality you want.
I´ve been a customer with Envato/VH/AJ for some years now, and one thing that often strikes me as odd, is the way pricing sometimes seems to have little rhyme or reason.
Just today there are two projects featured on the front page of VideoHive. One is an animated, magic hat logo with smoke, effects etc – something that seems to have both taken quite some time to create and also takes pretty good craftsmanship. This project costs 13$.
The other is a cool action-type trailer with text flying onto a wall, casting a shadow. Looks great. But in reality is just ONE scene repeated appr. 20 times. No music included. “Just” one scene repeated and edited for that action look. This project costs 16$.
IMO this makes very little sense. 16 $ for one AE scene that gets repeated. 13$ for an animated intro.
Many trailer-type AE projects seem to just repeat the first scene/shot over and over again. These projects are often sold at 25$ + although all we purchase is 1-2 scenes that are repeated.
And these are just a few examples of “strange” pricing. I fully understand how hard it must be to oversee ALL submissions and grade them uniformly. I´m just wondering if there´s an explanation for the (seeming) lack of price consistency – or if I´m just not understanding how this works? Thanks
I agree with all of your words.
The pricing here on videohive is all about the duration of the project and the preview video which is completely wrong in my opinion.
There are lots of project which require lots of work to do for just a 10 -15 sec animation which only has a price of 13-16 USD but as you have mentioned there are also lots of product that just repeat it self or just has some simple differences but they have a duration of 1-1.30 min or more and have a price of 27-35 USD.
It should not be about the products duration it should be about the quality and the work it involves to have the work done. I think that this is not a proper way of pricing the items and has to be changed asap.
If you are talking about that slideshow project then check out that most of that authors projects has hollywood and show stars in his previews.
The project is removed.
I don’t remember the author so can’t check it now.
But all of us have to report such projects ,rules are for all of us.
Thanks for the reply MotionRevolver. Just did.
This one was very obvious so that was why it made be think if I was missing something.
Hi all ,
Just watched a videohive project which has lots of celebrities in it.(on the main page right now)
Don’t think that the rules have changed so just wanted to point it out.
I have seen some other projects which made also use of some celebrities so wondering if I am missing something.
