I turned 13 on the 21st of September.
It should be called Kryptonite! The badge should be dark green that sparkles! I also think they should get the 90% rate. They do contribute a lot to the community here.
I’ll give it 6/10, and I agree with some of the others here, it’s not what we were expecting it to turn out like – we expected more, especially feature wise. They seemed to of disappeared from the main pages.
Here’s what I dislike about the new version:
1. Far too much scrolling (10x more than the previous design), especially when there’s a whopping huge comment box, and the active and recent threads sidebars are nice, but it’s not needed.
2. The gigantic footer on every page – definitely isn’t needed, and it’s like half a page in size! It has no “use” here. It has to go.
3. Bookmarking – now it doesn’t load straight away when a page loads, and I have to scroll down to bookmark a file – causing much annoyance.
The previous site was much nicer, and you should of kept it like it was, but just change the colors and add new features, but instead you decide to give us 5x pages worth of scrolling, and buggy features giving us a harder time here as a buyer and/or seller.
Envato did a big site revamp without making sure bugs were fixed, tut tut… and by the way, on the home page viewing the latest files – I cannot click on any of them because a damn preview picture pops up and stops me from clicking – as I can’t access the latest files, some authors won’t be making any money from me – can’t even add them to my bookmarks!
Envato = right now, it’s crap!
P.S: Can’t delete a file I submitted to GR either!
I’m sorry, but I preferred the old site, unless this new one is to change a little. The new one is just “too big”, everything is fatter and takes 10x more space than it did previously. The amount of scrolling now kills me and it makes it more difficult to navigate.
The footer is simply not needed – just look at how big it is and it’s not useful in any way whatsoever. As for the bookmarking, I now have to scroll (yet again) to add a file to my bookmark list.
I’m sorry that I have given negative feedback, but the new look is nice but it makes things more difficult for us members, it’s harder to do even the easiest of tasks.
I agree, bring back the old icons! And these smilies aren’t too great either
The “Weekly Features” on the Home page is good, however sometimes the live preview of the images (when mouse hover), the large image shows up and doesn’t disappear whatever I do, unless the page is refreshed.
Also, the “Contact Form” on the Authors’ page is out of line, in Google Chrome anyway.
I do like the new look, it’s nice but I think there’s double the amount of scrolling now, which is a shame. Condensing some of the content would be nice – the “Post Reply” area (like this one) is a good example of something that’s too huge – and just look at the footer! It’s massive, and most of the stuff on it isn’t actually needed.
I’m not happy with the review system at all. It seems that you like rejecting content that is of good standard and better than some that are already on Graphic River.
I don’t know what you have against girls, perhaps your religion? But I am simply trying to make money and I cannot do this if my files keep getting rejected, by you.
Then there’s the rejection emails I keep getting that simply do not give any detailed information on why the file(s) were rejected.
“You are getting there, but not quite there yet.”
That sure is detailed! Any more of this file rejection thing and I’m just not going to be using Envato again.
Thanks guys. I have a list of things that I’ll be passing on to my bosses at the end of the year. I’ll include your remarks!
End of the year? That’s ages away!
Wouldn’t it be great to have an option within each members account to be able to “save” your favorite authors? Sometimes we often can’t keep up with the site when it’s adding new stuff, so we sometimes miss them.
People could check their favorite authors list and keep updated on what they’ve recently added. Yay or nay? Let me know…
