themepunch saidRight, So we can invoice them with the item price + VAT which varies even within the EU from 15% to 27% just for EU authors there will be 9 different VAT amount: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union_value_added_tax
If envato decides to continue going down this road, they will have to add VAT to the item price of every EU author and make all buyers sign up with their real names and addresses.
so the price will vary for themes depending on the location of the author!?
That’ll be a huge mess in pricing = Big turndown for buyers.
A $ 50 WP Theme
from a German Author would cost $ 59,5 from a French Author would cost $ 60 from a Spanish Author would cost $ 60,5 from a Polish Author would cost $ 61,5 from a Swedish Author would cost $ 62,5 from a Hungarian Author would cost $ 63,5
just to list a few.
I always get an email from PayPal when payment is received and when Envato is sending me the money it says:
Note from sender, Envato Pty Ltd: Envato Jun 2014 Commission Payment
So it’s commission and not direct money from the buyer, it never was direct money from the buyer, It lands on your account and not on ours, if it would be direct money for authors then we would be the ones who would send you “author fee” money each month based on our monthly earnings.
Nice work guys I am really happy for you
Power Elite is just a step away now
My new year’s resolution is to give you 12 designs this year, Oh CreateIt the Magnificent

Sign me up for beta tester, here’s my first suggestion, what about making a comparison graph where I can select 5 users and see their daily turnover? just like the current top sellers graph just with custom selectable users?
