Has anyone experienced a sudden slowdown in sales over past week?
I use to be selling at a steady rate with barely 1 day a month of zero sales. Suddenly it is down to just 1 sale for past 5 days
The class I linked works pretty well or you can install Exiftool and pass info to it and write to the image.
Also from experience I can tell that reading EXIF is pretty CPU intensive, what I typically do it read the exif once when the image is uploaded and cache that to a DB either as a serialised array or individual fields.
The information you see is called Exchangeable image information aka EXIF, Almost every digital camera and smartphones write this into the image file. You can read this information using the in built PHP EXIF functions http://www.php.net/manual/en/book.exif.php
To write EXIF into an image you will need something like http://lsolesen.github.io/pel/
Does this point you to a direction?
20 sales – but only about $40 more. Are Plugins are my underpriced? Not that I can do much about it…
Nagpur, Maharashtra… Close enough?
That said – this is the internet… and the community here is very friendly and welcoming, why restrict yourself?
Noticed that my sales rank on CC was 399, am making just about $500 a month. My guesstimate is only the top 100 who make enough to do this full time…. Or rather a better strategy would be to concentrate on themes where the pricing seems much higher.
Comments or other insights most welcome…
FWIW I have done both – Asked for a price increase and a price decrease. In both cases I stated my reasons clearly (which were – bring the price in line with other similar items) and the request was processed in less than a day
So, its hard to believe that creation of any useful / high demand / bugles plugin can take couple of days/weeks.
Depends on what functionality you are building, it is the idea and its utility – one of my plugin is something very simple (and just $7) but sells more than 20 copies almost every week. Was created in less than 50 hours
