Well said AlexFjord. Just to make it clear, I’m not criticizing nbsunshine, I just want to share my experience.
While there are some authors that I’ve seen didn’t really provide good support, most wanting to sell more and I believe they want to try helping their customer. I’m selling in the Muse section and the questions are mostly geared toward the technical issues of using the app and editing the key sections. Since Muse is pretty new, and a lot of my customer is a first time user I tried my best to help them.
However sometimes, some customers doesn’t want to learn some of the basic things on their side. Things which are crucial to know before they decided to buy a template. I still however tried to help them. So far I only have one really critical customer who after I help for weeks (most his questions are actually explained in the documentation) gave me a poor rating and leave this comment:
“Pathetic. I am pretty savvy when it comes to adobe products. Poor instructions and the difficulty to customize this muse template was horrific. Good Luck… “
FYI he was using the Muse app for the first time (his words). But at least he said Good Luck, and as an author I took his criticism to improve my documentation. I wasn’t happy but in a way I was thankful.
So back to the topic I think AlexFjord explained it well. When I bought a game and it sucks and buggy, I don’t expect a refund. I can choose to give a bad review on it if I want, which can be done in this situation, but have to be done fairly.
The most obvious ones are the copyright text at the footer area and maybe the CITIZENS word on top. They are not well aligned the rest of the content. I think those were what Medians was referring to.
If you can share the link to the template, maybe somebody can take a look and help you.
Maybe now it’s time for you to add more colors in your next design. I wish you luck.
You don’t need a complicated documentation for PSD. For Muse, while it’s not mandatory but it’s better if you can create a documentation that explain the process of editing highlighted sections.
Congratulations! Keep it up!
..back when flash website is still hot.
If you look at the recent accepted submission for PSD category, most of them provided 10 and up to 30 or more alternative layouts. If you can code this, with some CSS styling and animation and like the reviewer said more improvements, it will look decent enough to be accepted.
I’m not really sure about this, but nowadays when you open a bank account, you will be given a debit card instead of the normal ATM card. Such as VISA debit card. Even all my old ATM card from banks accounts that I opened more than 10 years ago have been upgraded to debit card (the banks insist).
I never tried it myself but since debit card basically have the same expiration date and security number (at the back), it may work just like a credit card. I assume that you have one.
Can anyone clarify?
I agree with you. It looks amateurish.
Sorry for the upcoming rant but I can’t help myself.
This place looks more and more like Envato Studio everyday (and we all know why) but frankly that design is also terrible.
Everything on these marketplaces now screams design by committee and frankly, amateur.
Nothing matches, GUI is simply all over the place, I just noticed this box I am typing in still has tiny font and yet everything else is huge. seriously I question the abilities of all those involved.
I know we are supposed to encourage people when doing a job, but when they can’t do it then someone needs to say something so they can go away and learn and become better.I remember when Collis did all the site designs, honestly, I would like him back and that way he could ‘reassign’ people to some other duties they may be better experienced at.
