I agree, this makes no sense, i’ve had it happen few times as well.
If you get a soft-rejection it should be one or two rejections max, no point in more soft rejections for minor issues that can be fixed in one line of code. The frustrating thing is that those things are present from the beginning, but the reviewer decides out of the blue that it’s an issue after 3 or 4t soft rejections.
code for equity, would that be an enough motivation for you?
When a stranger comes and says “HEY I HAVE THIS GREAT IDEA YOU BUILD IT AND YOU ARE IN MY COMPANY” all of my red lights start bleeping and i look for the nearest exit. Making any semi-decent developer that values his/hers work to work for equity is really hard, in most cases developers that agree to that are total beginners.
I could agree to that only if i am e.g. getting to work in a start up with my friends or with people that i know, if i am sure that they have the right qualities and personalities for that kind of work. I’d never accept to work for equity with some stranger, especially if s/he doesn’t have the required professionalism and experience.
Therefore, i’d never even apply for a challenge to work for equity on a website challenge.
Coding challenges can work in open source software and for students, not for commercial products.
Just my 2 cents
This looks insane!!! It’s promising, i’ll definitely try it for my next theme!
Thank you for this ThemeFuse!
Tried it on my decent mid-range desktop PC with 8gb of ram and a dual core CPU, it was stuttering as crazy, i could barely scroll + it took like 20 seconds to load. You definitely need to optimize it better / get rid of some of the effects. I think that’s the main issue, because i think that it looks nice visually, only the performance is bad.
Do you have some cool sketches for a slider? Maybe some ideas for new type of menu or a gallery? An awesome interface element mock-up?
Then i would like to work with you
I’m a CC author with few plugins, but i’m mainly a programmer (finishing computer science degree) and design is my weaker point.
Various interface elements like sliders/galleries/etc. sell really good on CodeCanyon (especially WordPress versions) and in my opinion it’s best (most profitable :D) to create such plugins, so i would like to find a talented designer to team up with and create cool stuff.
If you are interested and have few ideas send me an email, we can discuss anything.
I have 7+ years of experience with web technologies, and 3+ years with wordpress. I do both backend and frontend (trying to become a ‘full-stack’ engineer) so that means that i can pretty much build anything you imagine
Personally i think it looks great and i like the presentation and everything, i see that you put in good effort into making this, good job
Also, i don’t know why you submitted it to the ‘Add-ons’ category, that’s a bad move IMHO, ‘Galleries’ or ‘Interface Elements’ were much better choice.
Hello, unfortunately one of my items (WP plugin) got soft disabled because it apparently isn’t working on latest WordPress version.
Now i tried and i tried to recreate it, but i still don’t have a clue what’s causing it, on every install i tried it worked as it should be, i can’t even see the issue!
If someone has 5 minutes to test it – contact me via email and i will send you the file. All you have to do is install it on your WordPress website and tell me if it’s working properly. Don’t worry, it can’t break your website in any way, it’s just some internal plugin thing that happens occasionally.
Hopefully the error will occur somewhere and i will be able to see what’s causing it.
I’m interested too, feel free to send me the details.
Good idea, i always wanted that!
