Great article, it’s always good to remember the good, old days but even better to look forward to the future and see the great opportunities. I like the African proverb at the end of the article and the image with Collis from the beginning of the article. And I must say it was a long journey and all our appreciation goes there especially for the people who were there from the beginning!
and in dec 2011 i joined graphicriver he missed out that part ,hehehehehe
@ Collis, thank you Sir for sharing this very inspiring quote.
There’s an African proverb that a fellow entrepreneur once shared with me, and I think it’s a beautiful description of what we at Envato want to do.
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”
$140,000,000Wow, that’s a lot!
Love the phrase: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with others.”
Good post Collis, thanks for sharing your experience with us. It’s great to know that the company is in good hands and has a future!
And in a lot of cases, we’re actually working on them right now but haven’t been able to share any of the progress yet.
Why? What are you afraid of? Is it hard to give some details at which point has the progress of planned features come? It might take you an hour or two to ask the devs and the team what are they currently working on and if there is an even vague timeframe of new features, but it would mean A LOT to the community and people who are actually participating and contributing in the forums. Think about it.
Thanks for the information, Collis. It would be great if there are some kind of infographics for us visual geeks to dig in . Wish Envato and all you guys the best in the upcoming seasons!
There seems to be a growing trend to try and use every thread to bring focus onto a particular feature that you would like to see on the Marketplaces. I’m going to let you know, that we’re very aware of the pain points and the areas that you’ve requested improvements for.
that’s probably because there’s no real dialogue in those dedicated threads between staff and community?
So instead of using this thread to voice concern over features that haven’t been introduced yet, ...
failed to miss the point of some concerns here and we are to the point
this is not about the features request, but precisely about the way the community and the staff interacts. those threads were given as examples only.
lets use it to let Collis know how we can draw Envato closer to its amazing community.
is what we are doing but it looks there’s no answer yet.
