Thanks for taking the time to write this! I love hearing a (theme) buyers opinion
Thanks for posting this. I noticed that 2 of your dislikes about the themes was “no about page”. The great thing about WordPress is that it doesn’t need to come with a pre-built about page or any other page because it can be constructed yourself using the shortcode and tools provided by the theme.
Just something to think about when purchasing your next theme
Thanks for including Peak in the list! It’s nice to know you like so much. However, the project description is actually available in the theme. You can put any amount of text after or inbetween the images, or any other features offered by third-party plugins, such as social sharing icons.
Click on “Various Image Sizes”, “Vimeo Video”, or “SoundCloud Embed”, for example, to see the descriptions. I would like to post links to them to make it easier on you, but I can not, since it would probably be deemed as self-promotion, which is against the rules of this forum.
Thanks for all of the feedback! @Jaynesh – totally understand using shortcodes, and I should have mentioned that – my point was more seeing a preview, like in Peak of something a little extra when it comes to an about page
@onioneye – first off, thanks for making such a beautiful theme! And my apologies for missing the descriptions, just happened not to click on those. Will fix my review to reflect that
thanks for the link, @OriginalEXE
Quite useful post for theme authors. Would love to read such thing about corporate sector themes.
An excellent write up full of good information for all authors not just the ones featured.
You make a nice point about the ‘about pages’, I’ll have to add one into the demos. Although, I’ll be doing some of my own research before I jump in. Not sure if it should warrant it’s own page template or a as jaynesh said just a default page.
ps. thank you for including my item!
