When using the cueVideoById function a big youtube play button is displayed which doesn’t fit my player skin. Anyone know how to remove it?

I don’t want to use loadVideoById as this automatically starts to buffer the video.

Cheers! :)

Then people need to manually create a preview image, I thought there might be a solution without that :)

there is, you can fetch preview image by using youtube api

having worked with chromeless player for a while makes me pretty sure that you would not get rid of that button

Cool thanks then I’ll look into how to fetch that preview image.

Kind of strange though they don’t add a playbutton true/false setting…

^ You wont need to create a preview image, youtube already has standard images ready to use. For example:

The video: http://www.youtube.com/v/0rrXaS_Ts64
The thumbnail: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/0rrXaS_Ts64/default.jpg
The image: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/0rrXaS_Ts64/0.jpg

Just replace the video ID by your ID, and done! Easy :)

the image domain is not always the same, you should really use APIs to be sure.
