Hey everyone. I’m not sure if this has been posted anywhere before, but I was browsing through Youtube and came across this series of videos. Pretty insightful stuff. It’s the ins and outs and tricks and tips of building up electronic music. A lot of the same techniques he uses are the same as mine. Things learned over the years. I’m sure some of the techniques in these videos will work in a multitude of genres in music.
I figured I would share with everyone. It’s very insightful.

Awesome ! thanks for sharing
Very interesting and helpful stuff! Thanks for sharing
Not a problem guys. I watched the whole thing (all 9 parts). Very interesting on how he goes about creating a track. Lots of good information here. Layering, call and response, EQ, collaboration stuff. I made sure to fave it on youtube
That’s a very useful contribution, thank you Derek!
Yes sir! Very useful indeed! Thank you very much.
No problem guys Always glad to share some things. Also, if you guys want some more inside looks on things, just little tips and tricks, the artist 7 Skies posts videos up of some of his project files in Logic. Not a ton of stuff, but you can kind of see how layering works out and how to achieve certain effects. He also has a few tuts on there as well.
