I’m sorry, uouapps, for ruining your thread, but there’s just no hope for this to come alive for a long time, especially not in a month’s timeframe. You have witnessed how long it takes to roll out even a smallest Marketplace update here, and more and more people are complaining every day.
I’m a buyer (I use another profile), and I know that this feature would be extremely helpful to all of the authors here, and to buyers too, but Envato is clearly not listening to its community here as much as it was supposed too. So there’s not point in keeping this artificially alive anyway. For instance, you can see the hot thread about changing the marketplace structure to take care of every item’s exsposure. Do you think something’s gonna change because there’s 250 replies there? Unfortunately, no. But I support your idea, even though I had to laugh just because a month’s timeframe made me laugh :):D

Maybe a simple checkbox in the profile settings, where you would opt in to have automatic replies, would do it. Naturally, you would have a textbox underneath, where you would write your response text.

Also, it would be great if we could expand on this to provide different responses to customers with a purchase tag, from the ones that don’t have it, to distinguish between pre-purchase questions, and support inquiries. I can imagine a lot of authors needing a different canned response for those two, so having that implemented would certainly be nice.
