I want to remove the border around the box which appears on a blog article, whenever a user adds a comment. I prefer not to have this box which goes over the whole page and makes the formatting messy-so i have removed the background, but can’t find the code for the border. Please tell me what code to remove so the border will stop coming up. Thanks
We’d need a link to your website or the name of the theme you are using in order to help you on this. Also maybe clarification on what exactly you need the border removed on (around each comment?), but right now I have no idea what & where to remove a border
What border? I do not see one in those links except around the comments BUT NOT THE PAGE?
I decided to make the background pink so the area with a border around it would be clear. The second link, and Karma theme. I can remove this bright color, but the border around it is harder to locate. This background colour is found in style.css, here:
—- —- —- —- —- —- -/
/* 4. Tabs
/ —- —- —- —- —- —- -/
Pink? Am still not seeing it – can you screen grab the page as you see it and draw box around or arrow to the borders you are talking about then we can prob help you
No borders were found
OK, what browser and version are you using?
I’m using Chrome, an up to date version. With no comment, the posts don’t show this border (box), but when someone makes a post, this box appears. The page is more attractive and simple without the box-border popping up, so I wish to delete the code. Cheers!
Ok – good image!
I cannot see this border in Chrome, FF or Safari on our Mac
It may sound stupid but have you cleared your cache and internet history since you tried to modify the CSS to remove it?
I am wondering if you have successfully done it already but it just needs that cache clear and refresh for you to see it?
Cant tell you exactly but looking at the original it looks like “single_blog_wrap” in the CSS. Take a look in style.css around line 1738 for a border rule. (check around that line but take a look from a bit before and bit after just in case).
Also check ”#wrapper .tabs-area ” line 1444 for the bottom part with a border.
