hie just wondering what you all use to do your design work… And for those who use laptops are you able to run all the big applications well and you have enough ram for it all? And is it easy using a laptop while working on programs like photoshop?
I guess im just so used to using my desktop for working but a laptop would really be convenient if i can have all my applications run on it and be able to work from anywhere….
Also any recommendations?
Thanks a lot people.
I just wanted to say im so encouraged by this community. Im so motivated and challenged to change and improve my life
I use a desktop, although I have used a laptop (a few years ago) and it’s definitely a viable solution.
I do all my work on a Macintosh PowerBook G4 (fairly old) but is still good on speed and having several apps open such as the Adobe Suite. I travel alot so its a great solution. I recommend getting the MacBook Pro.
The problem you will find using a laptop is how quickly the battery drains but batteries are fairly cheap.
You get used to the screen size, so don’t let that be an issue.
I use my Macbook Pro with a 22” LCD .
MBP is 13” what isn’t that large. But perfect for school
I use a MSI wind notebook with 10’’. I know that’s small sometimes it’s hard to design a layout without seeing the hole picture like in a big screen.
But for now I seem to mange just fine
I use a macbook pro 15’’ with an external samsung monitor (21’‘) and wireless keyboard / mouse
I use a 24” iMac, but I have a 13” MacBook for my sofa time
The good Thing on a Laptop is that you can be inspired when you create awesomeness. I prefer working in the park or on the public pool. It’s pretty cool.
You can code it, friends can say what they think of it and you aren’t a nerd who is sitting 24/7/365 in his room And you can swim if you want to
Bed Coding is of course cool too.
I use both a desktop and laptop while I am working. I use InputDirector that allows me to use one mouse and keyboard for my desktop and laptop. It’s a really cool program. I have a Windows Vista desktop and Windows 7 laptop. Saving up for a 27” iMac now to put on my huge new workspace
