Hey everybody! Do you use any kind of Steadycam or shoulder rig for your DSLR ? I have Canon t2i/550D and i need these!
Yes, I use shoulder rig with my DSLR which is T2i too. The rig is maded by me. I invented the shape and design and I buy some materials (aluminum pipes mainly) and after few hours drilling and grinding the result is this:
I use 1.25 kg counterweight, which I mount on the two rear pipes.
About steps of making – if you are interested, contact me via my profile and I’ll answer you.
About the price – If you decide to do it yourself, it will cost you around ten times less than to buy it from the store, and the final result is almost the same.
Finally I can say that the soulder rig is very very useful and helpful tool. Footage will look more professional when it’s shot with DSLR rig.
P.S. I still don’t have time to finish the follow focus
Check thecinecity.com It’s an indian company that sell their on ebay. The dslt rig is very affordable and it works pretty good. It is a good option if you are on a budget.
@Jackoart: That looks really nice Can you explain a bit what is follow-focus? Some kind of autofocus for video?
Oops, did not notice the date, it is already 7 months old. anyway let it be

Follow focus is an extension for a Rig. It will help you pull the focus more precisely (like rack focus for example). Will become very handy if you work with long lenses or lenses with wider aperture. IMO , it is very mandatory but it is just me.
I use this for upcoming project https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=577915358994257&set=vb.302545733197889&type=2&theater But still there are some problems with the electronic. Now waiting for the new motherboard. I still test the system.
