slightly redundant don’t you think? I mean nobody actually said you’re not allowed to stamp a HUUUGE banner saying you’re elite on your own profile page, or within item description, but to include it in the interface, while you already own the badge is well… redundant. In my opinion at least, but what do I know about such things / btw, first time I see this, pardon me if it’s an older feature…
Featured items also have an actual badge and display a feature “banner” in the sidebar, why shouldn’t the Elite items share some consistency with this?
VF said+1 remove the link to the elite hp
I don’t like to be a complainer but I do worry to see a big icon / link that redirects potential new buyers into another page just to misunderstand I probably earned ~500k from current file.
In My opinion Just removing link will make it worst for non-elite authors (as the buyers will not know what it actually means).
I just got my 1st sales 2 days ago & I really appreciate author who have elite badges. They come from 1st sales too….so Congrats if you are Elite Author, I’ll be there too !!!
A boost for the elite; a blemish for the rest. But the buyers will be pleased, I guess.
^ Even not being quite agree with this addon, i’m almost sure this will mean nothing regarding sales.
I think that if explained, it would mean a lot to buyers. I know that if I was a new buyer to the market, I would be highly concerned with sales records and proven products. Looking at it from a buyers perspective, I wholeheartedly support the idea. I do think it would be equally important however, for the web site to ensure some strong support for new authors as well, and Envato already does a good job at this. So, oerall, even though I wont be an Elite author for a very long time, I support it. Elite authors have worked very hard to get where they are. We knew authors need to do the same.
