dansjostedt saidWhy slow?
Wireless pieces and a thin plastic back to hold it togheter would be nice, but maybe slow? I for one would support this phone just because it seems so funny
Since if it was all wireless, and there was as he suggested upgrades etc then it would probably load slower than a phone with intergrated stuff, but I’m just thinking that’s the case, not sure since I’ve never worked with phones there for the ”?” at the end.
As an Computer and Electrical Engineer I have my doubts .
He is more a designer than an engineer.
Most concerning thing: Making all these guys talk together in an efficient way. Thinking about it, they need newer bus architectures, i dont think what we use now will work.
Companies must invest a lot.
But the idea is ideal. Software so a huge rise because of the interchangeable components (proof: wp).
OOP changed the way we code.
OOH is a thing now, and a lot of manufacturers are using it! This phone would be the wp of phones. Not the best phone but the phone that anyone can customize!
Great idea, but Apple and others will not allow for making this reality.
I have my doubts that this would even dent Apple’s reign. This concept will hit hardest on the current Android market. It’s the dream stuff of open-source embracers. Apple fans will stay strong where they are.
Compared to their proposed target, yes, it is exploding. But, compared to a real market it’s still sub-par and we all know that marketing wise… people tend to “Like” stuff, but when it actually comes down to buying something, maybe 5-10% at best will go for it. It’s easy to support with words, harder to put your money where your mouth is.
Like the concept, but I didn’t get the idea.
Problem raised in video – people like to change phones – Phone won’t last long – Increase waste.
Solution provided in this video – you can customize your phone based on your needs – supplier will provide more ‘parts’ in different sizes/features etc – Developer will create their own ‘parts’ – People keep changing ‘parts’. So?
Does it solves the problem? Or it just create another problem?
