Hi Saijo, how are you? I’ve been wanting to revamp/rename my author profile/account, and consequently, create a new website to reflect those changes/updates. What SEO tips can you give me?
I’ll be starting from scratch, and have no knowledge of the subject. What can I do to increase traffic and have a better search result presence/visibility in order to boost my marketplace exposure/sales? Thanks!
Hey, thanks for the links, very interesting and informative. For now, due to my lack of experience in the matter, WordPress seems like a great alternative.
From what I perceive, WP is SEO friendly, and I don’t necessarily need to have a technical background/understanding to get things moving, would that be accurate?
So, let’s say I launch a simple WordPress website, what’s next?
Wordpress sure is a great way to go about it. Wordpress along with + Yoast SEO Plugin + W3 Total Cache Plugin should help you get started . I published a wordpress beginners guide to SEO a while back, this should help you get started : http://www.searchenginejournal.com/seo-for-wordpress-blogs-getting-the-basics-right/59792/
Do you think loading speed is an important factor in rankings? Would you optimize on long-tail keywords or short ones?
What would you choose between buying advertorials vs buying ads / links, for promoting a business & optimizing its website?

For new websites, I usually optimize towards two to three word keyword phrases, so kind of in between major keywords and long tail keywords.
For the type of content you sell on the marketplaces, I’d suggest advertorials which drive backlinks in addition to initial traffic. I’d also suggest buying really specific keywords via AdWords.
I think page load speed is important, and will continue to be more important, but sites don’t have to be the fastest on the web to get more traffic.
