I think there should always be a large shiny “purchase” button regardless if someone is signed in or not.

If a user clicks on the button and isn’t signed in then there directed to a page to sign in or sign up.

No brainer to me. You would think this is the most obvious thing to do…

Sooo….. I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes, just thought I’d voice my opinion here. Does the spacing between block elements in the sidebar bug anyone else? To me it feels like there’s too much spacing, which slightly disrupts the relationship between sidebar elements, making it feel a little awkward.

Here’s a screenshot of what I mean (the spacing between blocks in the sidebar).

On the left, the original. On the right, my version.

If we look at it from the “golden ratio” perspective of things, there’s 23px of space between the left and right column. So 12-14px of vertical space between block elements in the sidebar would go more along the lines of the golden ratio. In the screenshot, I actually used 10px though (what I liked best, lol). Closer spacing just makes the sidebar feel more unified in relation to the left column, at least to me, haha. In the screenshot I also tweaked the tag spacing and copyright spacing at the bottom.

I also noticed that posts in the forums have 9px of spacing between them, which might be why I feel like the new item page sidebar blocks should be closer. Anyway, just my OCD ’ness I suppose. :nerdy: ;)

It’s subtle but I like it Jarel, nice idea :)

Also, I like Ivors idea about the button, perhaps we could consider that on the next round of revisions.

Interesting.. since the $2 price display has been taken off I’ve had the best sales day of the month.. coincidence or is what I’ve said all along, that $2 extra would scare new buyers off… anyone having a good sales day today since this change?

That depends what do YOU mean by good sales day considering your badge xD

But i must agree sales did go up 28th :)
