Hello Friends, I just got a soft rejection of my logo design with the following reason
Reason: You need to work over the general design here, considering the overall look and feel. The logo mark is too complicated and detailed. The overall aesthetics of the design could be improved with a font that’s better suited to the concept and refining the shape of the image.
Here is the preview of the design http://2.s3.envato.com/files/34126584/SphereHousePreview.jpg
Personally I do not agree that my logo mark is too complicated and detailed. It is simple enough as a logo design. And the font, there is nothing wrong with this font considering that I want to create a simple and modern design. And I found some designs that is more complicated than mine, but it is approved for sale http://1.s3.envato.com/files/28527839/Multi%20Housing%20Logo.jpg http://1.s3.envato.com/files/32862779/TowbHouse.jpg
Just need your professional opinion as designers.
Oh body you have no idea how much it kills me when i get soft rejected for this reason and see other works much more complicated but yet approved, when this reason is given i do nothing, i think of it as rejection not a soft one, i can’t think of anything to improve. I transformed my work from this: http://3.s3.envato.com/files/31677908/prev.jpg into this: http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/393/globaltradingpreview.jpg but yet they said it was too complicated. :/
I don’t think font matches the design.. not sure why.. but I’d use sans-serif that is more rectangular than rounded corners.. I’d make the home in the logo smaller/narrower. It doesn’t have to take up all the sphere. Added benefit of that would be that you could use only sphere or even that small home everywhere else as a symbol (favicon, etc.).
My 2 cents
I like the logomark but the text could use a bit of kerning. Maybe if the white line underneath the house was a bit closer in thickness to the roof?
Your logo is nice to me, but your illustration are too simple i think. Honestly,i think your logo is not too bad.. i like it..
