I see PS4 is getting something similar…looks like this stuff is finally going to make it into our homes for us to play with!

I can easily see how it could be used for gaming and learning but what about films? That might be interesting…filming with 360 degree cameras with the action unfolding around you…imagine that next big WW2 epic in wraparound vision! Awesome.

I waitng for OR2. :) But… My best games was create in 1998 and 2000 and probably not be working with Oculus :( Now I cant find nothing enought good.

I’m somewhat surprised that neither Google nor Apple ended up with them. Facebook always strikes me as a software only company and wouldn’t seem to know much about hardware / consumer product retailing. If they can the oculus vision happen faster, then I’d love to be proven wrong.

That’s a cool 400mil in cash and 23mil in shares, oh wow. I so want to be Oculus right now lol.

These guys were on kickstarter where they managed to pull through with a 2mil funding they got in mid 2012. A years and a half later and they made 423mil.

Amazing exit!

it’s great PR for them at the moment since loads of people who hadn’t heard of the RIFT will have now, just worried what they’ll do long term with it… :/
