The easiest way is just to add a slider control, animate the values and just pick whip the slider value in the Source Text option under text.

But the problem is slider can go to 1.000.000 only. So if you want it to go to 1.304.000 you can add another slider and animate him from 1 to 304.000 and in the expression just add those 2 values.

While writing this i had an idea. Make a slider that goes from 1 to 1000. Animate it from 0 sec to 2 sec. Then in Source text write:

linear(effect("Slider Control")("Slider"), 0, 1000, 0, 1304000)

You can read more about this method here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WS3878526689cb91655866c1103906c6dea-7a06a.html

Hope this helps! :)

If you make slider 0 – 1000 as option you can use simple math instead of linear:
effect(“Slider Control”)(“Slider”) * 1304

I think it’s more efficient. :-)

Best regards, Andrey
