i’ll stay here and fight pigs and cats to death
BAM ! BAM!
they’re coming outta the walls! they’re coming outta the goddamn walls!
BAM ! BAM!
Please, please stop putting animated gif’s on these forums. My browser keeps freezing.
Sorry Ben, will never happen again.
So how come there is TF banners on god damn templatemonster but no AD banners. What is up with that. If i could i would post links to these sites but it’s not allowed to see the ratio.
Add a AD banner to every friggin site that sells flash.
I mean then explain why we only get the 50% of our sales where the hell does the other 50 % go to? Is there any of that 50 % that we don’t get go towards advertisement or not?
It seems like that we are on our own when it comes to hunting down illegal files that are on illegal sites. For the last 2 day i have been emailing sites and Hosting companies for illegal content because it seems like envato is not doing a hell of a lot about these damn sites. Maybe come up with a solution to protect the swf files so these hacks would not be able to download them.
I’ts not a feud between TF and AD but the fact is that only one marketplace gets all the advertisement which is not at all fair.
Same thing with 3DOcean look at all the models and think how long it takes to create them and there are very minimal sales. The reason: lack of advertisement.
It would kinda cool if someone that controls the advertisement funds would explain how all this works because then we at least have an idea.
Okay. It might not be doing it now, but it was freezing with that huge gif of that dude dodging the car.
Ben, what kind of machine do you have that freezes with an animated gif?
Anyway, I don’t think all other stuffs are blocking site template’s initial exposure that much. I see many templates dropping sales even if managed to stay in popular list for initial 3-4 weeks (due to the entry of new templates). So the crowd of other category files are not a major cause of regular sales drop. On the other hand it is better to consider the fact that having wider range of Flash files in the library can bring more traffic to the site. TF – CodeCanyan’s case is different as the market is huge enough to have 2 separate libraries. Just a straightforward guess.
Hey guys. I’m going to lock this thread for 2 reasons. First, because it continues over here: http://activeden.net/forums/thread/whats-really-going-on-with-ad/34207
Also, because calling out a specific author or file is never appropriate. There are just too many instances of that in this thread. Keep it respectful.
