We’ve recently purchased and installed the U-Design theme and we are facing a problem with certain blog posts not being displayed at all.
We’ve updated all plug-ins and deactivated them for good measure and updated the Wordpress to the latest version. Deactivating the theme also “cures” the problem.
The problem seems to be related when links and images are dropped in to the blog post itself. Whilst the data itself is saved it isn’t rendered by the page. It appears to be related to the number of links in one paragraph or something weird like that – as if it is treating the blog post as spam and stripping it out.
So for example this text won’t display:
You may remember our previous blog post about the difficulties faced by former Olympic torchbearers wishing to sell their torches on eBay. Well, in June LOCOG (the London Olympics organisation committee) set up an official auction site for the sale of over 1000 Olympic torches and other items of Olympic memorabilia. The aim of the auction is to raise money to go towards subsidising the cost of the games. The auction has met with great success so far – the torch of David Beckham alone has raised over £13, 000.
But if one of the links are removed it will render on the page. If the paragraph is split so that one link appears in each paragraph then it renders fine. Additionally if the URLs are removed from the HREF tags and replaced with other links on other sites or replaced with a # then the post renders fine.
Also if you look at the page in Firebug then the text itself has not been added to the page. It’s just being stripped out at the point the page is being rendered.
Why is this?
