Hi guys,

I tried to find some good source for this topic, but couldn’t find any. There is just so much websites outhere using Apple products and I have problem to believe that this is not against any Apple’s copyrights.

My questions: 1) Can I use Apple products in the preview demo (but not in the download file)? 2) Can I use Apple products in the preview demo and in the download file? 3) Non of the above

I don’t see why wouldn’t you be able to use it. Then you shouldn’t be allowed to upload picture of your iPhone on the internet without written permission from Apple. What you are not allowed is claiming it’s your own product or reselling it. This is how I see it, don’t flame on me if you disagree or if I’m wrong.

It is more likely that you are not allowed to use it because of Envato Terms of Use as there is a line saying that you can’t use other brands in your preview( example was you are not allowed to put logo of McDonald’s in your work).

Unless you have a license for the Intellectual Property i.e. the photograph and clearance from Apple to sell your product using theirs…the answer is no.

Thanks for your replies! :)

How is it possible that there are so many sites using their products? Aren’t they afraid that Apple may sue them?

Well, It’s more like a moral thing at this level. They can’t sue everyone that are using the copyrighted images they own. It depends how cool You want to be.

Interesting question – it could well be part of Apple’s marketing plan – who knows. Either way you do open yourself up to being sued – and this goes for any images where you don’t have a licence or written approval. Why don’t you email them and see? It would be useful to find out.
