Oo i’ve always wanted to customize a shopping cart product. I once (foolishly) built my own … OMG it took forever and was a bit buggy :-)

There’s also Shopify though I guess that’s a hosted app

jaswindervirdee : ThemeForest was probably built with Rails like FD.

I have studied so many CMS systems & hosted e-Commerce solutions though I ran with the Flash Based Carts I now sell on FlashDen to cater to those who do not wish to be confound to a specific look or template.

Collis is right about Shopify. They have a great design, e-Junkie’s features are hard to beat, and even Big-Cartel has a great solution for musicians.

All-in-All, it really depends on the buyers preferences.

Though, if you want to develop or design special features into your site, you need the source code.

Cheers, Flash_Cart
