100% of all themes lately are made WITH BOOTSTRAP. These guys are starting with a base, and changing css now.
This statement is funny because you also use bootstrap in your scripts. Does that mean your scripts are just bootstrap with some css modifications?Aether-Themes saidThis is what I’m wondering as well. Was there even a market back then?
I didn’t get it, they should be cheaper or more expensive, in your opinion?
Envato was founded in 2006 (with “FlashDen” only). Fairly safe bet that there weren’t any markets for most of these types of items even then.
WHAT! Building a theme takes longer than building a script? BAHAHA.
100% of all themes lately are made WITH BOOTSTRAP. These guys are starting with a base, and changing css now.The problem is that the marketplace is stuck in the old days, and they price items according to 1999 charts.
So, if your scripts are using a ‘starting base’ like jQuery or bootstrap itself, does that mean your scripts didn’t require much work? Apparently you don’t know much on what happens behind the scenes when building a template,. and lets not even mention building a wordpress theme. The programming time a WP theme requires is the equivalent to various scripts, at least.
Maybe you should try changing from CC to TF then.
Trolls gonna troll.
On Topic: Sure it’s interesting to know which markets make more money, but as an author you’re always best to focus on your own skill-set (what you’re best at).
Amaksi saidWordpress.. plugins, themes, etc.
Good day / night / morning everyone! Do you think any of the markets Envato the most profitable. Which of the markets, you can earn the coveted most quickly paw, with a normal by the standards of the store item. ps. sorry for my bad english)
As ToivoMedia said, focus on what you’re best at or most interested in.
It seems pretty clear to me after a few months on here that anything Wordpress related are the biggest sellers. Wordpress runs the web right now!
1. Themeforest 2. Codecanion 3. Videohive
@FinalDestiny and other authors from TF
I retract that statement and replace it with a less general statement, of trends with some authors (lately) is to bootstrap everything.
I do however stand by the fact that it takes longer to make a script then a template. Templates are not dynamic (minus WordPress of course), and most use core plugins already available.
The equivalent is to quit using flex-slider and write you own slider..ya I thought so.
This thread is only asking which market is richer, obviously ThemeForest period.
Take a look at Envato’s own graph:
Do the math (pageviews x average item price) probably isn’t a bad estimate of relative profit. ThemeForest is crushing the other marketplaces.
