They’re the people paying for them, right?
One of my PSD designs that was rejected by themeforest sold 9 licenses (2 extended) in another shop online. I see designs here that were accepted at much less quality also.
You shouldn’t be an exclusive author then.
If it wasn’t a soft rejection it was probably rejected for a good reason. If you post the PSD, you’ll be able to receive some feedback as to why it wasn’t accepted
It might seem harsh at first, but my rejections always made my items better in the end it’s all about putting into perspective and being critical about your own work.
On top of that there is a lot of competition here so the standards are bound to be higher than anywhere else
ThemeForest is not like any other marketplace you see online. Just because it sold 9 times elsewhere it doesn’t mean it’s good. Of course from your perspective it’s the best item ever, but the reviewers have years of experience and know what sells / is quality and what’s not.
but the reviewers have years of experience and know what sells / is quality and what’s not.
And I have years of design experience and have worked full time for multiple companies.
It’s their own personal opinion. What does not appeal to one person, will appeal to other people. They make decisions for buyers based on their own personal bias. They’re just losing sales with a communist system like that.
Who are they to make up peoples minds for them?
ThemeForest is not templatemonster, where you see 10,000 templates and each one has 3 or 4 sales at most. Sorry to tell you this, but if your template was rejected it means it’s not good enough and its quality must improve if you want to see it here. If you’re looking only for 10 sales or 15, ThemeForest may not be the correct place.
For example, I wouldn’t want to publish my items on ThemeForest if they’d approve 100 templates a day just because, well, they have potential, based on what their author says.
The way it is now is perfect, you want to be approved, work on it and you will see it online, the problem is with you and the template, not with the reviewer, the reviewer is your friend.
If you only think one person dislikes it, post a link here.
Yes, let us see a preview of the theme so we know what we’re talking about
