It looks bad, nowhere near the quality of a premium theme. The whole typography / color mix / spacing is a mess, you might wanna read some more tutorials about web design before trying. Just my personal advice.
If it would be on me, I would say get rid of that italic font, really pokes my eyes. Might work a bit more on font size and spacings also
The question is not “why?” but is: If you replace all these beautiful images with gray placeholders, what make your theme to be special? Your theme should look good even without demo images.
Now as other said, you should improve the typography and of course improve your design skills. This theme is not ready for TF, but if you did this WP theme, you can do another one better. Practice.
It looks bad on large screens.
Google maps captures the mouse wheel, this is a big no-no for usability, disable mouse wheel zooming on your google map.
Also, there’s a little too much time spent on the fancy details, and not enough time spent on the basics, see Charlies post above about typography and alignment. Focus on a strong core design first, and then add flair and jazz second, not the other way around
Thank you again for your replies! They motivated me to keep working hard. I’ve now completely redesigned the whole template and I am now parsing the code and stylings.

Could you give me your impressions? Is it now going to be ready for submissions? Thank you very much.
It looks good to me, maybe few spacing errors (mobile phone image and prices). Maybe you could make html template first to spend less time on design changes before started to develop wp theme.
Edit: on small resolution it doesn’t look good, check that first.
