is it possible to disable the shop functionality until ready to use?

Hi ryanburt,

Yes, by not activating the WooCommerce plugin there will be no sign of the shop

awesome, thanks. i think this will work perfectly for a new site im working on

Hi there!

Great theme! I’m loving it.

Just want to make a few changes and would appreciate your help.

1) Wanna put an image in the background of the logo (using all the space), how can I do it?

2) In the preview page, the widget title has a little background (looks like a green flag), I´d like to keep it. How can I add this “flag” in my widgets?

Thanks! 3)

Hi marciolucc,

1.) This is a little custom change, email me at help@quitenicestuff.com for assistance

2.) In areas where shortcodes are accepted you can use the [title]...[/title] shortcode to create a flag style title, other wise just use the HTML (you can view the source to see it) I would add it here but adding code in the item comments is not possible, if you want me to send it to you send me an email at the above mentioned address :)

Thanks for the reply – I won’t be switching e-commerce companies, but it’s good to know that the code is stored in a specific folder.

I’ll talk to them to make sure there won’t be a problem from their end working with Wordpress. The company is Americart.

Thanks again!

I’m having a bit of a problem with the way product descriptions are displayed. For some reason the product content is being shown twice. Here’s a link to what I mean:

How do I get the theme to just show the tabbed version of the product content?

Thanks and great theme btw! :)

Hi dpalileo,

I can’t replicate that problem on my local version here, could you send me an email via support at help@quitenicestuff.com with your WP login details and I’ll take a look.

Hello! I’ve searched high and low for the right theme, and I love this one! However, I don’t need a shopping cart, but I still would like to use the green flag at the top with the shopping cart inside with the amount of items – can I still use this element, but just as a link to a contact page or something? If so, I’ll purchase, just want to make sure I can first!

Hi littlesproutsdaycare,

Thanks for your interest in Organic Shop. By default the little green flag in the top right hand corner only displays when WooCommerce is installed, however its easy to change this by editing a couple of lines of code, I’d be happy to help you do this. If you decide to buy and need help changing it just send me an email at help@quitenicestuff.com

Love the theme but in theme options the background image and google fonts options are not working when i try and change from the default – they are letting me enter the information but not updating the style sheet. Is there some code missing for these 2 options perhaps?

Hi Dylan,

I just responded to your email, the custom background image was indeed a bug which I’ve just submitted an update fix for. From your additional email it appears you figured out how to add the Google Font :)

Hi! I came across this theme last night and I love it! I think it meets my requirements. I have have two questions before I purchase it.

1) I like that how this theme has user registration. I noticed when a user checks out, creating an account is optional. Is it possible to change it to make users either register or login with their current account? I want to completely disable guest check out.

2) If I wanted the website to process other payment options like a payment directly from a credit card or debit card, how is this done and would there be additional costs involved setting this up? I have never set anything like that up before, so I would like to know what that involves or if it just needs a premium plug-in or something.

Thank you for your time! I look forward to your reply :)

Hi Forever-Charmed,

Thanks for your interest:

1.) Sure, the guest checkout option can be easily turned on/off via the theme options

2.) Credit Card payments can be accepted using “Mijireh Checkout” which comes built into WooCommerce (the plugin this theme uses for Ecommerce features), its not totally clear if Debit cards are accepted but it appears possibly not.

More info about Mijireh Checkout and WooCommerce here: http://www.mijireh.com/integrations/woocommerce/

There are a bunch of other extensions available which allow you to accept a ton of different payment methods here: http://www.woothemes.com/extensions/woocommerce-payment-gateways/

I love the theme and the customer support is awesome! I will buy again!

Its great to hear this kind of feedback pksnyder1, thank you! :)

is possible to put video in the home banner?

Hi carloalbertodellasiega,

Sure, Vimeo videos can be inserted into the homepage slideshow

Is it safe to asume I can change the slider to fade instead of slide? What other options/settings are available?

Hi mgma,

Yes the slideshow uses “Flexslider” which has “Slide” and “Fade” options built in. Other than that a bunch of other things can be modified such as speed etc

Great theme… having trouble though. The Google fonts are not loading into the slider text overlay.

.... Nevermind, I didn’t realize you had to wrap the text in paragraph tags. fixed.

I would like the option to be able to turn off responsive.. or at least not have the menu change to drop down until mobile size rather than ipad size.. Also on the product detail page the image takes up the whole screen as soon as the width changes below the normal max width of the page..

Hi jamiec1,

I would have to agree with you on that point about the product detail page image, its certainly goes to full width a bit too early when the browser is resized. I’ll update the theme later on today to fix this.

Regarding removing responsive features, this would be simple enough to do, you just need to change 2 things:

1.) Open “organic_shop/functions.php” and comment out line 297 by adding a double forward slash to the front of the line like so:

//wp_enqueue_style('responsive', get_template_directory_uri() .'/css/responsive.css');

2.) Open “organic_shop/js/scripts.js” and comment out line 27 – 48 like so:

/*jQuery("<select />").appendTo("#main-menu-wrapper"); // Create default option "Go to..." jQuery("<option />", { "selected": "selected", "value" : "", "text" : "Go to..." }).appendTo("#main-menu-wrapper select"); // Populate dropdown with menu items jQuery("#main-menu a").each(function() { var el = jQuery(this); jQuery("<option />", { "value" : el.attr("href"), "text" : el.text() }).appendTo("#main-menu-wrapper select"); }); // To make dropdown actually work jQuery("#main-menu-wrapper select").change(function() { window.location = jQuery(this).find("option:selected").val(); });*/

Perfect thanks. I think this would be a near perfect if you could change the responsive layouts so that both ipad views were just smaller versions of the normal layout. Then just had the mobile sizes with different layout. Other than the footer which I think works well as it is. ie splitting in 2 levels.

Great job though… its been a really nice theme to use.

Hi jamiec1,

I just submitted a little update that improves the responsive features on the product single page, just waiting for it to be approved by Themeforest then you can download and check it out :)

Great work with the update. Its really nice to see such a big improvement and that you are continuing to improve an already great theme.

Another thing that I think would love to see would be a content area on the home page below the intro title. The home page would then be more flexible.

Keep up the great work..

Hi jamiec1,

I actually added this feature for someone else a few updates ago :)

Make sure you have the latest version and then go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Home Settings”, and then add your content in the “Homepage Text Block” field. It accepts plain text, html/css and shortcodes

By default it should be pre-loaded with 3 text columns with titles built from shortcodes.

I have 2 little problems:

1. I would like to remove arrow which is showing in main menu item whem i have sub-menu

2. there is a little problem when logo in header is image – problem is that image is not positioned good when you change resolution of browser window – it is not very resposive

Hi mateo98,

1.) To remove the little arrow for menu items with a drop down go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Styling Options” then add the following in the “Custom CSS ” field:

.sf-sub-indicator {display: none;} #main-menu a.sf-with-ul {padding-right: 30px !important;}

2.) Make sure you enter the logo’s width in “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings” in the “Image Logo Width” field

Just purchased – will let you know if I have any issues :) Thanks again…

Thanks pollgera! feel free to send questions directly to me at help@quitenicestuff.com

Do I have to enter logo with in pixels or percentage?

Hi mateo98,

Pixels, but don’t add the “px” on the end

Has the update been approved? Also, trying to add some HTML to the ‘footer’ text area for link credits and it keep stripping out HTML or truncating the field. Any way to fix this?

Hi waveminded,

Yep the update has been approved, for the footer links are you trying to re-create the links like in the demo website? If so this is actually a menu. Go to “Appearance > Menus” and create a menu and set it as the “Footer Navigation”

I’m already using the Footer menu for something else. I need to be able to put a mixture of text and links in the footer area below the footer menu.

So where can I disable the tag stripping or truncating for that field?

Hi waveminded,

Which footer area do you mean, the one on the left which by default has the copyright info in?

If so I just tested this area and can insert links and other HTML no problem.

Make sure you go to “Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings” and add the HTML /content to the “Footer Message” field

I have a little problem with mailing script… it doesn’t support non-standard-english letters (?, ?, š, ž, ?)... is there a way to fix that?

Hi mateo98,

Oops sorry about that, I just submitted an update to fix it.

In the mean time if you want to fix it yourself open “organic_shop/template-contact.php” and delete line 72 – 73 and replace it with:

$body = $message . "<br /><br /> " . __('IP Address','qns') . ": " . $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']; $headers = "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8\r\n"; $headers .= 'From: '.$name.' <'.$email_to.'>' . "\r\n" . 'Reply-To: ' . $email;

hello. i have a problem, when i go into my webpage, this go to “blog” and no for “home” What could i do? Another think, i need to set a bottom with CodeStyling Localization for different languagues in the same menu of “Home” “shop”... somethink like this: http://www.greenspahawaii.com/ could you help me?. And the last, the buttom on the top of webpage called “checkout” and “my account” don’t work. You can check al this in http://trebolplant.es thanks

Hi ezky,

You’ll need to select which page you want to use as the default homepage in WordPress. To do this go to “Settings > Reading”, then select “A static page (select below)” and choose your homepage from the “Front Page” drop down menu.

Regarding your other problem, are you trying to create a footer menu? I’m not sure if thats what you’re trying to do?

If it is go to “Appearance > Menus”, create a new menu and then set it as the “Footer Navigation” on the left side of the page.

And for the problem of the checkout/my account links not working, they seem to just be linking to your homepage, have you modified the code in any way because I can’t replicate this behavior on my own local version here
