Hi Rodrigo, I wrote you an email, is it possible to make the home page image fullscreen?

I’m not Rodrigo, this is the WordPress version of the template, for the HTML version you should contact rodbor (Rodrigo)

sorry, i am also interested in the Wordpress version if something like this is possible, can you answer the question?

The template comes as-is, on the demo, for anything extra you’ll need to customize it

How to display thumbnails of the articles in the blog page? Thank you !

Add them manually in the excerpt field, as html.

Ok, thanks ! You can visit my website now: http://www.nicolastilly.fr/ ;-)

Sorry if this has been answered already, but where should I look for the documentation? I’m new to WordPress and am looking for how to use the shortcodes that are included in this theme, as well as other features which are marked “check the documentation”.

in the folder you downloaded from themeforest there should be one called “Documentation” or “Read me”

Ah, I thought I looked everywhere but I must have overlooked the folder when I unzipped it. – Thanks.

You’re welcome

Hello,

Really enjoying that theme for my portfolio. Is there a way to add another social network? I’d like to add my viadeo page but I don’t really know what to do in the code or where to do it. I’ve already made what I believe is needed for the icon http://i.imgur.com/jvjBWdT.png

Thanks a lot. my portfolio is www.lucasmarot.fr

Twitter changed their API so I’ll still need the access details in order to change the code.. :)

ok, sending it then.

ok, I’ll answer you there

Hi,

Thank you for this theme, very beautiful.

I have a few question, could you please answer me ? Thanks.

First of all, the blog : I would like to put some news as a feedback of the blog, let’s say “What’s up today” but I cannot put it the first page. It’s seems that you can only get access to articles informations within the blog link in the menu.

Also, I would like to make the slideshow clickable, could you tell me if it’s possible to change it by myself ? I’v tried using a

Unfortunately not, you can only use the php function to call the widget, but that requires some custom coding since in wordpress it doesn’t allow you to use code in the posts or pages

I’ve been working on today and here the solution I found : - You have to reupload the sidebar.php pages into the theme folder on your FTP. It’s allow you to use widgets but the slidebar dosen’t show up. - Then install the widget “widget on pages”. It’s allow you to integrate widgets in your pages. - Install the widget name Super RSS reader into your page and paste the URL of your blog RSS.

For the slideshow, I found one that have link enable (and very customisable).

All those widget are working with shortcut, work very well with your own shorcuts (columns, etc…) !

You can find the result on the draft : http://www.romaindechamps.fr/clients/afd/

Hope this will help some people to customise your theme :)

Ok, great, thanks for sharing the steps :)

Hello, nice theme! what version of jquery come with the theme? i’m asking you this because i’m trying to show a plugin called wordpress social stream and it wouldn’t work. i think that maybe can be an old version of jquery, or some conflicts with css, because it wouldn’t work only with your viewpoint theme.

the link is : http://www.pedestrianclothing.com/

thank you

The theme uses the latest jQuery version available with WordPress, so it’s one of the latest and constantly updated, so that’s definitely not the problem, make sure it’s the plugin that’s not too old

probably

Hi,

Is your viewpoint theme child theme ready?

regards

No because of some code, but I can tell you what to do in order to work fine with child themes. Will be fixed in the next update as well

Hi FinalDestiny, I just finished my website and I think that it is not very well optimized on ipad (and iphone). The header does not work very well and the layout does not display properly on ipad (the “portfolio” for example), though I use good shortcodes. Is it possible that you test your site: http://www.nicolastilly.fr/

Thank you!

You’ll need to play with the font-sizes in css/layout.css:

/* #Media Queries
================================================== */

    /* Smaller than standard 960 (devices and browsers) */
    @media only screen and (max-width: 959px) {

        .top-bar, nav, .title {
            position: relative;
        }

        nav {
            margin: 0;
            padding-top: 60px;
        }

        .title {
            margin-top: 50px;
        }

        span.line, span.line2, span.line3, span.line4 {
            display: none;
        }

        .featured-item {
            display: none;
        }

        .rslides {
            position: relative;
            list-style: none;

there are all the font-sizes for the mobile/tablets devices

as for the slider, no, unfortunately it’s not possible to easily replace the imac slider with an iPad one.

Ok thank you :) iMac slide disappears on iPad, is it possible to put a still image instead of empty space only on iPad? And I do not know why but the sliders arranged half page are distorted (in my column “What’s new”).

Thank you for your support !

Unfortunately not, it’s not possible to replace the imac slider with something else on iPad. As for the slider, the height is set automatically based on the width, I’ll replace this slider with flexslider in one of the next versions.

Definitely loving this theme. Is there a way to change the lightbox to include mulitple images per portfolio piece yet? Would this be possible by modifying the shortcode to allow for indication of the end of one set of images and the beginning of another? Or, do you know a good plugin that would allow for this?

Not right now, maybe in the next version I’ll add that.

Hi, I’ve purchased your theme yesterday. It’s really nice.

However I’d like to make some modifications to it. I was hoping you could help me :)

1. Footer. I’d like to display .copyright on the very bottom, and I’d like to change background instead of the .dotted bar. Also I’d like to include logo in this part. You know just to have a normal footer on the bottom of the page.

2. Is it possible to remove .top from between the pages?

3. Is it possible to add a small logo (with scroll to top function) to sticky navigation? In other words. Align navigation to the right, and on the left of the navigation bar, add a small logo. So it appears only when scrolling down and the sticky nav shows up.

4. Is it possible to link services icons with the quote slider. In other words I’d like to take the function of the quote-nav-right/left and asign it to the service icons. So when i click on the icon the quote slider will move.

5. How do add custom background to pages. when I’d go to blog page, I’d like intro to have other background. But keep the sticky nav.

6. How to remove the navigation and have it only as sticky navigation? In other words I’;d like to remove the navigation from the header but keep it as sticky nav. Also it is possible to move the sticky nav lower?

Thanks in advance. Michal

1. You can go to css/layout.css and decrease the 750px value until the footer is at the bottom:

#contact .bg2 {
    background: url(../images/intro-bg.jpg) 0 0 repeat;
    background-position: 0 0 !important;
    background-size: cover;
    -webkit-background-size: cover;
    /*background: url(../images/intro-bg2.jpg) 0 0 repeat fixed;*/ /*Background 2*/
    /*background: url(../images/intro-bg3.jpg) 0 0 repeat fixed;*/ /*Background 3*/
    margin: 0 auto;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    z-index: 200;
    width: 100%;
    height: 750px;
}

as for the dotted bars, you just need to edit the images in the /images/ folder for that, all the images are there

2) Add this to style.cs:

.top {
display: none !important;
}

3) Not by default, it requires quite some customization

4) No

5) Again, it requires a good deal of customization

6) You can add this to style.css:

nav {
display: none !important;
}

Great thanks for your reply. Keep up the good work :)

You’re welcome. If you can, please rate the theme :)

My website is not in english, so google fonts need to have &subset=latin,latin-ext added to the font source, in order to display all the letters correctly. Can you tell me how to do it?

send me a wordpress admin account + your url + your issue via the contact form on my profile and I’ll edit it.

Hello, I do not know why but the contact form does not work. When I press the send button does not happen neinte. Can you help me?

Looks like it’s fixed now. :)

Ok, don’t worry, I solved it. thanks

hello :)

interested by your theme

could i : (i am a beguinner)

-change the background menu bar with a personnal jpeg?

-have arrows with the lightbox?

-have different portfolio sections?

-add other fonts, especially hand writtings fonts?

-have other kind of esthetical lightbox?

-have differents pictures on home page and bottom page?

thanks , great theme

chears

nico :)

1) Background menu bar? I don’t understand what you want to change

2) Not by default, sorry

3) Different portfolio sections, yes

4) other fonts, yes, by custom coding them with @font-face… the theme has lots of google web fonts included as well, in the theme options panel

5) Other kind of lightbox, not without custom coding

6) Different pictures, yes, but requires some extra code.

HI, i’ve install WPML to translate my website but appears this message:

Warning: explode() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /web/htdocs/myurl/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 5287 Warning: array_map(): Argument #2 should be an array in /web/htdocs/myurl home/site/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 5287 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /web/htdocs/myurl/home/site/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/sitepress.class.php on line 5289

There’s a way to fix it? i’m sure that it depends on the custom function that generate the menu because I replaced “show_top_menu ” function with the standard “wp_nav_menu” and the message disappears but, obviously the anchor menu doesn’t work.

Thanks. Mattia

wp_naV_menu is not supported by the theme, only the built-in menu works.

Hello Boys, great theme! I have few questions before to buy it.

1.Can I include large amount of text for every each project on my portfolio ? I check your example , it shows only photo ?

2. Can I also add more pictures for one project ?

3. Can I change the landing page background with personal image ?

Looking forward to hear from you!

Btw. I did’t check , do you provide demo version installation on your pack ?

1. There’s no limit on the description. On my example I have just two lines, but you can add any lines you want

2. Not by default, sorry, I plan to do this in the next version

3. Yes, with some modifications in css which I can provide.

and yes sample data is included

hi,

i have another pre buy question. I read in the comments you disabled the parallax fx and was planning to fix some parallax issues on mobile/tablet devices. Does the current viewpoint version have parallax and where can i preview the parallax FX? is september 2012 the last update for the viewpoint theme?

regards

No, the parallax effect was removed due to incompatibilities with phones and tablets

Hi,

I’ve just purchased your theme and it’s brilliant! However, I’d like to change the central ‘letter’ option to display the companies logo, can you tell me how this can be done?

Thanks

Add this to style.css:

span.logotext {
font-size: 0 !important;
}

and replace this image: images/logo.png with your logo(it should be called logo.png as well)

Thank you for your help! I’ve added in the code, but where do I find the logo.png image to replace? Thanks

via FTP, in the images folder of the theme
