Hi there,

I’m having some trouble with the responsiveness of the header.

It looks like it’s cutting out on most devices.

Is there a way to set the height to 100% in proportion with the width, and then have both get smaller as the screen shrinks? That would be wonderful.

Any advice you have as well would be great.

Try adding this to style.css

@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
.dotted-bar {
background: transparent !important;
nav {
display: none !important;

Hi there, this works. However, there’s now a huge space at the top. Any idea why?

You’re using this code:

#intro .bg1 {
background-size: contain !important;

try replacing it to

#intro .bg1 {
background-size: 100% !important;

Quick question, is it possible to move the Facebook link down to the contacts page instead of at the header?

What’s your url? however the site hasn’t been launched fully yet. I’ll email you the Wordpress info.

Hi. Ok, I’ll check it via e-mail

Great theme! I am running into a small issue which I hope you can help me with. When you reduce the screen size to under 380px or view the site on an iPhone the sub-headline text is broken up by the dotted lines so are the social media links. I am assuming its because the second navigation menu shows up but I am not too sure on how to resolve this.

(please see smart sauce studios [dot] com)

Any ideas?

I was able to remove the white line “effect” by simply removing the nav2 and top bars all together. I now am still having issues with the second heading not displaying the full text on iPhone. The social links also do not display.

Hi. They don’t show up because there’s not enough space in the header section, I think the best way to “fix” it is to reduce the font-size for all the items in the header section, you can change the font-sizes in css/layout.css, at the end of that file, in the @media sections

Hello Cristi,

Great theme! I’m having a couple of issues with customizing.

1. Can you tell me where to find

. I can’t find it in any of the php pages. I want to remove the instructions below the message box.

2. Why is my navigation not in line with my logo? The logo is in the correct spot; the navigation needs to come up a bit. Where do I go to fix that?

Thanks! ~Anna

well, that didn’t work! I’m looking for p class form-allowed-tags.

Answered above ^

The theme is great, however, I’m having a bit of trouble customizing. Would you mind taking a look at my site?

1. The navigation is not in line with the logo. Where can I go to pull up the navigation?

2. About: the one-third column is not in line with the two-third column. There is no margin or padding that I can see. Where can I fix this?

3. I want to remove: You may use these HTML tags and attributes: <abbr title=””> <acronym title=””>

<del datetime=""> <em> <i> <q cite=""> <strike> <strong> from below the comment box. Where is that bit of code, so I can delete it? I looked through all the php pages, couldn't find it. ?? Thanks! </strong></i></em></del>

Hi. I don’t see the code in your style.css

as for the about, please check my reply for 2) above, use the shortcodes like

[one_third]blabla[/one_third] [another] fdsfds[/another] [another] [/another] ....

Yes and yes! That is so strange to me, that /two_thirds fixed itself when on the SAME LINE. But whatever - fixed. And the navigation, too - lined up. Thanks so much!

You’re welcome :)

Having a bit of an issue getting my logo to display – I know you’ve addressed this a number of times, but when I go to appearance > customise, the logo is displayed, but on the live page it’s still the default without the letter inside. I’ve added that code to the style:css and I’ve replaced the logo.png with my own graphic, then uninstalled an reinstalled the theme. Don’t know why it’s not displaying on my live site? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi. Try adding this to style.css

span.logo {
background-image: url("link to the image") !important;

Hi there,

I’m making amends to a website for a client who has bought the theme, but I can’t seem to find any documentation for the theme.

I was sent a zip file with the theme in it but can’t see any documentation.

Is this me being thick or is there full documentation somewhere else?

Thanks for your help!

Hi. The documentation can be downloaded from ThemeForest, you’ll need to tell the client to download the full archive and not just the theme itself

Hi, cheers for the quick reply and info.

Hi there.

Just wondering if there is a shortcode to change the theme of the lightbox used, like when using prettyPhoto elsewhere? I’d like to style the lightbox without overwriting the default one.

Hi. Unfortunately not by default, sorry :(

Within this coding here, is there an element that I can change to lower the Social Media buttons within the header? I noticed there’s an option for a margin but doesn’t seem to change anything. Is it because it is an inline block?

.social {
    width: 100%;
    text-align: center;

.social ul li {
    display: inline;
    margin: 0 8px 0 8px;

Also we’re having issues with responsivity on mobile devices.

You can go to css/layout.css and increase the top value here

.title {
    top: 60px;
    width: 100%;
    text-align: center;
    position: relative;
    z-index: 150;

As for responsiveness, can you please elaborate on the problems you get? Other than the menu which looks a little bit weird(because you have many items on it), the rest of it looks fine

Hi, is it possible to add an ecommerce plugin such as woocommerce? I love this theme, especially the sticky navigation!

Hello. Unfortunately by default it doesn’t work with WooCommerce, sorry. I don’t have such plans right now. It may work as functionality, but speaking of the design, it is not integrated.

Thanks for letting me know!

Hi, I just purchased the theme and the contact form isn’t working. I can enter details in each field but when I click Send nothing happens. Also, the Contact heading line is misaligned. Can you possibly help? Thank you for your time.

Hi. You can go to js/contact-form.js via FTP and find"../wp-content/themes/ViewPoint/index.php", { name : name.val(), email : email.val(), comment : comment.val(), submit : "yes" }, function() {

replace it with"../wp-content/themes/themeforest-2793926--viewpoint-responsive-single-page-portfolio/ViewPoint/index.php", { name : name.val(), email : email.val(), comment : comment.val(), submit : "yes" }, function() {

Hi there, great theme, thanks! I’ve tried a number of RSVP plug ins, which all format fine, but none of them allow text to be inputed into the fields? Any suggestions on something I can do to fix this? Site is:

You can add this to style.css

input, textarea {
color: #your-color !important;

Thanks very much, I added this to the style.css in wordpress, but no joy – no text areas’s change at all? Any other suggestions?

Add it after */ and not before

One more – sorry! Is there any way of getting instagram to display in the same way you have Facebook etc in the ‘General Settings’ in ‘Viewpoint Options’ ? Thanks so much!

Hi, unfortunately instagram is not available by default, sorry.

Hi, nice theme!

This is a pre-buy question.

Have you ever thought about making a “What My Customers Say” section or something like that?

Thank you

Hi. :) I didn’t think of that before, but I think it can be easily achieved with a carousel plugin or something like that.

Hi there,

I am trying to implement a booking appointment system, however the plugin has conflicted with the appointment system and I can’t get it to work properly.

Would you be able to have a quick look and see if there’s anything that might be conflicting with the theme that you have created ?

Please come back to us, as we really need to get this working – we have purchased the theme so we expect a bit of support.

Kind Regards and Thanks in advance. Fernando

Hm, I don’t think so, there are no files that could cause such a conflict I guess. But I’m still not sure what the problem is

Hi there,

You haven’t been of much help through the whole process of getting the template working properly. We have paid for it – and even though you might get a lot of sales, I think is your responsibility to provide support and be professional.

As of the update of WP 3.8, it has broken the contact form. Do you know why is this? And how do we go about fixing it? We can’t wait without getting people to contact, and even though we are very keen to change theme, we can’t do as of now.

We get the error: function require (’../../../wp-load.php’) not such file or directory.

I have tried getting the URL to work through DOCUMENT_ROOT and the location of that file, and we don’t get the error, but we get a page not found.

Please help us fix the contact form.

Hopefully you can help this time.

Cheers, Fernando.

Please send me your problem + a WordPress admin account and I’ll check and fix the code.

You paid for the theme and its advertised features, which I offer support and make sure it works, I can’t offer support for 3rd party plugins and features that are not part of the theme itself.

I downloaded this theme yesterday. I am having trouble with customising it. I can’t find the “menu” page. Neither can i find anywhere to make new galleries, or actually new anything. I don’t really have any customization options – I think this is a mistake.

You can see a picture of the “Apperances” menu here

The documentation is the “Read me folder” that’s included with the download package from Themeforest, just make sure you downloaded the full package and not just the wp theme.

The syntax is the actual code you’ll need to use in the pages content

In the documentation folder there is only a folder called “assets”, I can’t figure out how I would turn that into “easy page customisation” – sorry :/

EDIT: I figured it out, thanks! Sorry for wasting your time :) Great theme my friend

Hi, can you please tell me how to remove this line “Posted on 08 Aug 2013 | 0 comments” from pages that are not shown on the main menu? Example:

Hi, add this to style.css

p.headline {
display: none !important;

I tried removing the diamond in the main menu using the following CSS, but when I do, the main title / H1 moves up and overlaps with the menu. Can you help? Thanks

span.logo { display: none !important; }

Hi, what’s your URL?

If i’m not mistaken the sticky ’.nav2’ doesn’t seem to display on IOS devices.

Been trying to fix this for quite some time now, but can’t seem to find a solution. I did see one javascript file (smooth-scroll.js) but lack the experience to fully understand what it does and to see if it functions correctly.

Would anyone be able to tell me why ’.nav2’ doens’t show in IOS devices?

Hello. iOS has some trouble handling certain css properties, I’ll take a look at it in the next few days. It seems to work fine on my own phone, but it’s on Android.

I really am enjoying working with your theme. However, I have two questions:

1. Can I get rid of the contact form and ‘CONTACT’ from the menu?

2. How do I change the color of the lines around the menu?

Answered you there

Thank you!!

You’re welcome!
