I’ve bought the theme three weeks ago and received zero support from the theme authors. I’ve bought many products from Envato last 5-6 years and never received so poor support. Before I bought the theme I asked them if its still supported and they answered on the next day, but when I bought it I receive no answers on my emails. And for the record I bought the theme more than 3 weeks ago….

Hello. On the home page, where you get the multi-select option of four categories, or the top categories, as they are called in the theme, they only appear as an option to choose, and on the home page when at least one post has been created under that category. However, I would like to force it to be an option and show up, even when there is not a post created under that category. The reason for this, is because I actually want to change that last box on my blog (https://www.eatliftbe.com) to a URL that redirects to a different site. Now, under my Yoast SEO plugin, I have already redirected the category URL to a page. However, I won’t be able to make this work unless the rules for the top category changes so that it appears even if no articles are attributed to that category.
Can you tell me what specific file and piece of code needs to be updated, so I can make this change to this rule, or can you at least direct me in the correct direction. Right now, I have no idea where in the theme to took for where this change can even be made.

that’s not feature of the theme, that’s default wordpress behavior. Empty categories are not shown by default. Well if you already made redirect category then just add any empty post to this category, however it will be redirected. I hope it will help.

Hello, Yes… and actually there are a few more things….
1. For the social media share sections below each post, how do I customize the icons? FB, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google are listed, but I need to make some changes. 2. I read your documentation and I am unable to get both the copyright footer text (alt footer) and social media icons on the bottom of footer as it is displayed in your site. Even if I turn alt footer off it doesn’t show up. 3. “The leave a comment” below posts only show up on occasion. I can’t see where the rules are to allow it to always have that option below all posts 4. a small excerpt of the “about me” with the image in a circle shows up above the “leave a comment” section on post pages on some instances of your site, but not others. I always want to understand the rules around that. 5. Instagram Widget: Per documentation this widget it available but when I search in widgets I can’t find it.

1. These social icons come out of the box with the theme, if you want to make some changes you can do that from code only.
2. You just need to set them from theme options page and they should appear automatically.
3. Each post and each page has this option. When you edit your post under the editor there are Comments options.
4. You can manage how much text will be displayed as excerpt. You can do that from theme options page.
5. If you have installed alika shortcodes plugin it should appear automatically.

Unfortunately no, this doesn’t really help me, because I have already followed the documentation and it isn’t working…. maybe I can clarify?
1. Can you point out where in the code? I am not a developer, but if you can show me where that is I can probably figure it out from there.
2. I have already filled out the social media information in the Alika options, as well as entered in footer text. This still isn’t working, so perhaps I am doing something wrong? Are there any screenshots you can show me or further direction to provide?
3. Unfortunately that option is not there. Again, if you can show me a screenshot, perhaps I am missing something, but from what I can see that option is not there.
4. I can see how to amend how much text to see in an excerpt,but I am referring to the tinny “about” except that sits above “add a comment” on some of your pages.
5. I have installed Alika Shortcodes, but it does not show as activated or installed or anything like that the way the rest of the plugins on wordpress do.

Hi there, I just installed Alika theme and installed and updated the plugins Wordpress requested. When I installed the Envato Market theme, I received this error message:
The Envato Market plugin requires PHP version 5.4+, plugin is currently NOT ACTIVE. Please contact the hosting provider to upgrade the version of PHP.
What do I have to do to fix this?

as you know following the Envato rules all themes on Themeforest are sold without images. They are for preview only. And all the authors replace images with image holders for easiest work with theme theme. Well you just need to replace the image holders with your own images.

Hello. All other envato themese I have downloaded have come with the images as placeholders, but that is not the only issue. To start, the homepage doesnt exist, revolution slider doesn’t work, other pages are missing, instagram placeholders are missing to name a few. The point is to import demo content so you can take what you found online and then start porting in your own content. Without that it is hard to see what else is missing.

Yes it’s known issue, it appear after some changes in Instagram work. But we already fixed this issue few months ago, well now you just need to update your theme and the shortcodes plugin, This will solve the issue.

You can update entire theme and then simply to update the plugins or to update the plugins separately from inc/files folder. In this folder are all the plugins.

Is their a possibility to have like 5 posts on the front page and on the category pages 12 posts? Otherwise you will have an enormous front page or a very small category page.

You can control number of posts from wordpress settings. Just go to Settings=> Reading. But these settings control all the pages at the same times. So this make sense because on category pages you have all the posts from this category but on index page you get all the posts from all categories.
Something like you want to do you can make with the slider, to set for example 5 featured posts to be disaplayed on the top on index.

I’m trying to download this onto my wordpress, I have paid for a premium account on wordpress and I have paid for your blog template to attach as an upload. However, every time I upload it says can only upload files with a single zip and then when i press install for $50 it goes to a blank page which says bad gateway. Not very happy as I have just purchased this.

I’m really glad you got it solved. What about slider, there will be displayed your latest posts, so images are your posts thumbnails, so if your post don’t have a thumbnail set, in the slider you’ll see grey background. Hope it make sense for you, contact us if you should need some another help.

Hi, Its really hard to contact you through here. I need to show images for you to understand what I mean. On my about me, what URL do i need to add to add a picture of me? How do I get a URL from a normal JPEG image?
I also have got blog posts up and my slider is not working. There is no slideshow at all on my Blog. My pictures on my thumbnail are square though, is this the reason? do they need to be a certain size?
