Great at first glance but the theme is filled with plenty of custom CSS that the owner will not help you with, leaving the user to figure it out by themselves. Purchased support to inquire about certain features and was told "not supported in support".

It is a great website packed with a good variety of pages to modify and create something your own. They team supported me on the issues I faced with. I did not do any website design for over 10 years and I was not familiar with WP and so many other new things.
This theme has made all of my small business dreams come true! I love it so much and their support team is very responsive.
The Theme is great and the support is truly amazing, you get a respons within days and the issue is always solved in the end!
Having some frustrations with slow response on customer support, at the moment the system for posting a ticket is also not working. Plus some items in the items don't seem to work such as 'Vertical Split Slider' and 'Uncovering Sections' which isn't in the documentation either.
Really happy to review my feedback if the support improves.

Sorry to hear this however our support team is working really hard on answering all our customers request. We could not locate any request created from your Envato username and would appreciate it if you could do this as you can for sure get help by our support team.
Right now we can only guess what you might encounter and best practice would be to submit a request, as it might be that you did not update the theme and its plugins to the latest version 1.4. Anyway please contact our support team that can help and check any issue you encounter, as well as we do hope that once you have been provided with help that you will reconsider your rating.

I’ve been using Amedeo for about a year and I can say that it is a beautiful theme with a ton of options. It is relatively easy to create a website, especially when starting with a demo. The design is just gorgeous, but there are a few things that need improvement:
1. The theme is not optimized for speed. This is must now if one hopes to rank well in Google. I use several plugins to speed up my website, such as wp-optimize premium, caching, gzip, image optimization and caching and I cannot get a score higher than 65 for desktop and 40 for mobile in Goggle Page Speed Insights (lots of red warnings due to coding). Code needs to be much leaner and the theme has to be optimized for speed.
2. The theme is marketed as being for creatives. Creative people usually use a lot of imagery. This means that in the portfolio section, the images opening in the lightbox must include options to display a title, a short description, play button and social media. These features are not included and they are essential for any creative person: designers, photographers, illustrators, etc. Other themes for creatives include these features. Again, the design is beautiful, but these features are missing.
3. In the portfolio section, when selecting portfolio gallery or portfolio masonry, the images do not align properly. Most creatives have a mixture of vertical, horizontal and square format images in the same gallery. Images need to be confined to a certain crop (for example square) to align better.
4. Packaged plugins such as WPBakery and Revolution Slider have not been updated since December 2019. Wordpress is seeing outdated plugins as potential back doors for hackers and is showing warnings.
If the creators could address these issues, this theme would be perfect!

I would never recommend anyone to buy this theme, as once you build the entire website, the main functionality of Amedeo portfolio would stop working and the entire website will go for a toss. And when you will try to take support from theme developers, they would give you vague solutions or blame it on the hosting team. The only option left with you will be to buy another theme or rebuild the entire website again with a fear that the website might stop working anytime. Please, please never buy this theme! My personal experience very fed up with customer support too, they don't have the expertise to deal with the errors or they don't want to do it because they don't want to take the efforts.

We're sorry to hear that.
We have reviewed the ticket with the problem and have tested the functionality in our local installation, as well as theme demo. While it's needless to say that everything was working correctly from our side, we have already suggested that the problem is in your server connection and broken response requests.
That is something we are not in a position to fix, nor affect in any way. Our support agent has already advised to try working in local environment to test this functionality further and when you work in a local environment it is nearly impossible to have a broken server request.
Please note that we take every report seriously and we are investigating every problem with our development team, but this is something that is related exclusively to your hosting server.
Our support staff is working closely with development team, so the statement that they don't have enough expertise comes out of ignorance and lack of will to accept that perhaps the problem doesn't come from our theme. We are not running away from any problem, on the contrary, we are tackling them all to provide even better user experience than it is now.
We understand your frustration and we understand it perhaps comes out lack of knowledge with web-related tools and relations between hosting servers and premium web assets, but please note that our theme has been tested multiple times before the release and we didn't have reported problems of this kind among thousand buyers who are using Amedeo theme.
In case you don't wish to use our theme, please issue a refund request.
