Hi,
I’m using your theme for the client. Soon I should hand over the final product.
I don’t have a clue why all new posts + new pages use only Guttenberg editor, and there’s no way to use WPBakery builder on them (as in other posts/pages from the theme). That’s a bit frustrating.
Also, seems like I didn’t get the needed details to register my WPBakery plugin- why (license doc empty) ?

Thanks for writing in! Please navigate to WPBakery > Role Manager and set your Post Types to Custom, there you will be able to check all pages and custom post types that you wish to edit with WPBakery.
When it comes to the license please note that WPBakery does come bundled within the theme and you do not need to activate any license for it as bundled plugins do get updated when the theme is.

But is it possible to have the search icon on the Minimal Header?

Hi There, When I imported the demo widgets, I am getting this error that this file does not exit. /wp-content/themes/anwalt/framework/modules/search/types/fullscreen/fullscreen.php)
I checked in the downloaded theme folder and it is true that under types folder fullscreen and its content does not exist.

Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I appreciate it! I have installed everything : Demo content and all required plugins including WP Bakery. However WP Bakery is not displaying in the backend – when I want to edit any page or create a new page/post/etc – there is no option to edit on WP Bakery – I simply cannot use WP Bakery.. I need to edit pages or create a new page – but not possible to use WP Bakery – because it is not displaying as editor. I tried to install Classic Editor or deactivate Gutenberg – nothing is showing in page editing .. So it was installed but not working. please advice

If you perform theme and plugins update as described, you shouldn’t have any issues. Also, the code that is displaying on your website is probably caused because your Core plugin or WPBakery are deactivated, so make sure after the update that you activate those plugins as well. Keep us updated

Gentlemen, the error happens exactly when trying to update the plugin and the theme, after the update, it starts presenting the errors, and I am totally without access to the website and the wordpress panel

Please update your theme and plugins by following these steps:
Download the latest theme .zip file from ThemeForest
Extract it and locate anwalt.zip
Extract anwalt.zip and locate the anwalt folder
Copy/Replace the contents of the anwalt folder to the /wp-content/themes/anwalt folder of your web site.
You need to delete the core plugin before updating the theme. If it still breaks, you need to delete the core plugin manually from your server. If the site remains broken, you then start deleting all theme plugins one by one until your site comes back up, then install the new versions of the deleted plugins.

Hi, I was recetly updating the theme which caused the site to break. In motion hosting explained to me that this was caused by the anwalt-core plugin. Is there a specific order or way to update the plugin and the thme ? Thanks Mike
There does not look to be a Anwalt Core plugin update available. I updated the theme using the Envato Market plugin. Wordpress is on the latest version. When we disable anwalt core the site comes back up

You need to update the Core plugin to solve the issue. In order to do that, delete the Core plugin first, then in Appearance > Install plugins you need to install the Core plugin and activate it.

Thanks. What is the order of these tasks, as if we update the theme first the website breaks? Also, I see now in Appearance > Install plugins there is an update available (which is not shown in the normal plugin list). can I update the plugin here or must I delete and load the new version ? I assume the new version is in the download ?

Yes, the new version is in the download. If you updated the theme with Envato plugin or through admin panel you need to update Anwalt Core plugin manually. You can achieve that deactivating the all plugins from the list, then delete the Core plugin. After that navigate to the Appearance >> Installed plugins and install again Core plugin, then activate it. When you achieve Core plugins you can activate the other plugins.
On the other hand if you need to update the theme I suggest you to follow these steps:
1) Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins, find the following plugins: Anwalt Core, Anwalt Instagram Feed and Anwalt Twitter feed and deactivate them.
2) Update the theme normally according to this article:
https://mikado.ticksy.com/article/143123) Delete the plugins: Anwalt Core, Anwalt Instagram Feed and Anwalt Twitter feed.
4) You will see the following notification in your WP admin area, on the top:
“This theme requires CORE plugin.”
(You can also find the latest version of these plugins in Appearance > Install Plugins, assuming you have done the previous steps.)
5) Click install to install those plugins (Anwalt Core, Anwalt Instagram Feed and Anwalt Twitter feed) and activate them afterwards.
It’s necessary to update the plugins as well because we release major update.

How did you save your settings? Did you make backup? We sent you instructions how to update the theme without losing existing content or settings.
After update you need to open Mikado Options and click on save button: https://www.screencast.com/t/vGl6HiHnoU5kThen all the settings will be there.
