I bought this them all psyched up and exited and hours of research on the theme live preview.
After testing it and trying to set up a website around it I cannot grade it more than with 1 star.
What looks all super when looking “on the box” is a disappointment when opening it up.
The theme is overfilled with complicated settings and set ups to tweak your site in the direction you thought would be possible looking a the demo.
At least if your an average or less experienced user.
In relation to the alleged amount of sales of this theme the slow support is a very non pleasant surprise.
The plus side is support does help you out. But if you’re in a hurry when things are not working accordingly this is so not for you.
In addition to this the them loads very slow and if you’re again an average or less experienced user this is kind of hard to fix.
Would I recommend the theme to a friend – no.
Would I use it again for a one page site only – maybe.
Would I use it again for a more complex multi page multi functionality site – never.
It is extremely unfair of you to give a one star rating, which mainly seems due to your lack of experience.
This is a premium theme that has a lot of options and customizations, users love that and that is why they buy it. If you do not know how to do something, then simply ask us.
It would be a better route for you to try and learn a little bit more, ask more questions on the forum and get to know how powerful Avada is instead of giving it a completely undeserved 1 star rating.
Everything you stated as to why its bad is not true in the slightest.
Please give some valid examples of why you feel this way, its certainly not how the majority feels of Avada.
And why would you not use it in a complex multi page, multi functionality site? (By the way, that statement does not make much sense but that’s besides the point. )
Its SUPER easy to setup your site, all you need to do is click the demo content importer and its setup in less than a minute like our demo, with sliders, widgets, pages, posts, theme options and more. What could be easier than that?
As for support, it is not slow at all. You have to understand that support is handled on a forum, it is not a live calling center. I can only assume you have not used other support avenues here on TF, ours is superb and fast.
And about the slow loading, that is especially not true. If your site is slow then its due to your own content or bad hosting.
LIVE SPEED RESULTS: http://gtmetrix.com/reports/theme-fusion.com/eQNIuzw0
And those results are with all the features enabled, it can be even faster if yo are not using all of them, and they can be disabled on the extras tab in theme options.
And I just checked your forum account and each and every thread you made (4 total) was replied to in a timely manner and with correct answers.
We have a one click solution to get everything setup like the demo. How in the world can you say the above?
this is in response to “buubuuz” from 10 months ago and Themefusion’s response to him from 9 months ago.
The only way I found to add PHP variables to the copyright section was to edit footer.php. I copied footer.php from the main theme over to the child theme first. Then I found this line:
<li><?php echo $data['footer_text'] ?></li>
- this is the text that is displayed from the “Copyright Text” field from “Theme Options” > “Footer Options” page.
I copied it to another line and commented out the first line.
I then changed the new line to this:
<li>copyright <?php echo date('Y') ?> <?php bloginfo('name') ?> <?php echo $data['footer_text'] ?></li>
no, it’s not clean, it has the word “copyright” and 2 spaces hard-coded, but that’s the best I could do.
The best option for us would be for ThemeFusion to allow all fields in their “Theme Options” section to accept shortcodes from one of several popular WordPress plugins that does shortcodes like “Shortcode Exec PHP”, “PHP Code for Posts and Pages”, etc.
If they can’t do this, then ThemeFusion could do something like below to make the footer copyright bar more dynamic:
- under “Theme Options” > “Footer Options”, ThemeFusion could add several “checkbox/field” groups to the “Copyright Bar” secton:
NOTE: all groups should be draggable so they can be ordered. This would allow someone to re-order the groups as they see fit.
Group #1 (text block 1) – add a checkbox that says “Check this box to display a block of text”. If this box is checked then a new field would display to enter text.
Group #2 (dynamic date) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to add dynamic copyright date”. If this box is checked, ThemeFusion could do one of two things. The easiest would be to just show the current year if the box is checked (something like “echo date(‘Y’)” would do). A more customizable option would be if this box is checked then new checkboxes would display in which a person could choose from a series of date options.
Group #3 (dynamic Site Title) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to show ‘Site Title’” (which comes from the “Settings” > “General” section of the WordPress admin).
Group #4 (text block 2) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to display a block of text”. If this box is checked then a new field would display to enter text.
Group #5 (dynamic Email address) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to show the site ‘Email address’” (which comes from the “Settings” > “General” section of the WordPress admin).
Group #6 (text block 3) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to display a block of text”. If this box is checked then a new field would display to enter text.
Group #7 (text block 4) – add another checkbox that says “Check this box to display a block of text”. If this box is checked then a new field would display to enter text.
All of these new checkboxes/field groups should be draggable so they can be ordered. This would allow someone to re-order the groups as they see fit. With four optional text fields, dynamic groups for date, site title and site email, the copright text bar section would become a highly customizable section worthy of the Avada theme.
Thanks for the information, wow thats great! I’ve made a copy of this and will discuss it with our developing team for the future.
I purchased Avada this morning but when I enter the Item purchase code to sign up for your support, I get a message to enter a valid code even though I copy and paste it from the license I received with my purchase.
Make sure there are no extra spaces when copying/pasting. And sometimes it can take a little time for the code to register in the TF database. Please try again in a bit. If the issue continues, please email me your code.
To email us, visit the link below and find the “email theme fusion” box on the lower right hand side, send us an email from there. Don’t worry about the auto-reply, I’ll still get the email.

Very interested in this theme – can I do the following? I’d like to create a 1-page site, with a sticky header, with the menu items in the header linking to various sections of the 1-page site (instead of going to different pages/posts). Does that make sense and is that possible?
One other question – for the sticky/persistent header menu navigation – is it possible to make it more “static”, as in, make it stay in place right from the get-go, and not make it fade out and re-appear as the user scrolls down the page?
Right now the theme is not setup for a one page site, however we do have plans for it sometime in the future.
For the sticky header, that is possible but not a theme option at this time so would require code customization.
I would just like to say that I am INCREDIBLY happy with Avada. It’s easy to set up, there are tons of powerful features right out of the box, and the support is fast (<1 day) and very informative. My team and I were able to make a great site for our organization, and have actually been getting compliments on it from people all across our city.
This is the first theme I recommend to my Wordpress-using friends.
Wow thanks for the awesome review If you have not already, please rate Avada for us on your downloads tab, click the stars then refresh the page to check.
Thanks again, we have some amazing things in store for future versions of Avada!
I just bought your theme but the .xml is not up there… i checked in the package and in the Avada theme… but nothing ? Please help me with this. Let me know where i can find it. Thanks so much.
them i just found it in avada/framework/plugins/importer/date/avada.xml.gz is it the file i must use?
There is no longer need for XML files. We have a built in demo content importer, directly in theme options on the General tab. And its even better than XML files because its imports everything, not just pages and posts. It gives you pages, posts, sliders, widgets, sidebars, theme options and more.
Check it out! And here is the info from our docs, http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/demo-content-info/import-xml-file/
But if you want to you can use those XML files you found, but the importer is much easier and gives you much more.
I have the theme setup and running, but just have a quick question. For the contact form, how do I change the sent from email address? When the email arrives in at the destination email, which works correctly, the “from” address looks like this: myusername@boxXXXX.bluehost.com. I’d much prefer it to be the email the actual user submits in the form as their email address. Thanks!

I really need a theme that works out of the box and is maintainable (content wise) by a user with limited knowledge. This means as simple as possible way to add portfolio entries with some text and pictures as well as linked vimeo video for that project.
Its not a problem for me to edit the css to customize the theme, but the basic layout should be possible with theme options.
Can Avada do this? I already lost $50 on a theme here on Themeforest that from the live preview could all this and more, just to find its severe limitations.
Yes Avada can do anything you see on our demo easily. And we have a demo content importer in theme options that is better than XML files because its imports everything, not just pages and posts. It gives you pages, posts, sliders, widgets, sidebars, theme options and more. We do not include each and every slider you see on our demo, we have over 30 total, but we do give you samples of each slider type already made and assigned to a page. From that point its just a matter of editing your content.
Hi, pre-sales question: Facebook login for bbpress/avada.
Do you have a plugin you recommend that plays nicely with Avada?
Facebook plugin so users can login to the forums (just to be clear).
We’ve not used a plugin that has that feature so unfortunately I cannot give any recommendations. However you should be able to find many with a google search, its always good to use the most top rated, used plugins you find.
I am planning to purchase your theme, but before that I have a specific requirement where I want a landing page which displays the navigation as icons in the center on a dark panel with a back ground image/slider. Is it possible to create this using Avada?
You could use our blank page to create something like this. http://theme-fusion.com/avada/blank-page/
It cannot take an assigned menu, but you can simply create one on the page with images / icons that link to where you need to go.
Hope this helps!
How to remove the “All” category in the portfolio page? thanks
Right now that is not possible without a custom coding solution. However we are going to look into a way to easily achieve this via options in a future release.
Welcome We will be adding the solution soon.
Great support, very helpfull staff. They don’t just sell you the template, they are really there to help if you run into troubles. A+
Thank you very much, we appreciate the feedback

I got want to use this for my website and I get this error when I try to click the “Posts” in the admin area – so it’s the wp-admin/posts.php in the url
This is the error message
Warning: require_once(/home/content/19/12164919/html/wp-content/themes/Avada/framework/plugins/LayerSlider/lib/class.km.autoupdate.plugins.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/19/12164919/html/wp-content/themes/Avada/framework/plugins/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 17

This seems to be related to your hosting, we’d need to get your WP login info and check this out further.
If the issue persists, please post this up on our support forum and our support team will take good care of you. Create a new topic with the above info, then post a second reply with your username/password and mark it as a “private” reply so only we will see those credentials and will be able to login and check the issue.
I would like to know if you have a demo of the Admin.
At this time we do not, however you can view our theme option settings here http://theme-fusion.com/avada/advanced-admin-panel/
Let me know if you have further questions, Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
Is there a way to display my tumblr site on the home page…?!
Thanx! By the way Great theme as everybody knows!
Hey, thanks for the comments!
Hmmm display your Tumblr site on the home page … I don’t think that is possible unless there is some kind of plugin out there that can give you that feature. I’ve not heard of one though. Most likely you would need to get your tumblr posts setup as WP posts.
However see this google search results, lots of options for tumblr to Wordpress.
Ok! Appreciate that!
I am considering purchasing this theme. Has it been tested with the Formidable Pro plugin and the Easy WP Donations plugin? THank-you for your time.
We have not tested it with those two plugins so I cannot say for certain. At the same time we have not had any reports of issues with them either. If an issue does come up after purchase, you can always post on our forum and we will certainly do what we can to fox it if its theme related.
Hey see this from another user who just posted, http://d.pr/i/wlCl
One more issue … My portfolio doesn’t show the Image rollover at all …. do I would like to have only the zoom – but nothing shows …
as well i have this error with the uploaded demo content
Your portfolio page leads to a 404 page, you most likely need to go to “settings > permalinks” and hit “save changes” to reset them. If you are using a custom permalink structure, make sure to see this post in our KB on how to do it, http://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/how-to-set-a-custom-permalink-link-for-portfolio-posts/
