Can I design each page differently? ex. can one be light, one dark; one full-width, one boxed?
I want to gamify a course and need my site to cover a wide variety of content. Thanks so much for your help!
Yes one can be full width or boxed, that is a per page or post choice, as well as many other options. But the light and dark skin is different, that is a site wide choice. You can however change the header bkgd, main content background or boxed background per page or post.
You are most welcome
See this post in our knowledgebase, you can use a separator shortcode for page content, or if its the bottom or top of it, there is a page option. I think you need #2, http://theme-fusion.com/knowledgebase/how-to-add-or-reduce-space/

I am asking if I as a website owner, can I invite other members to write their blogs? And they can also manage their blogs (edit/delete/add) on their customised member section page?
The other members (not bloggers) can follow the bloggers as the fan?
Wordpress doe allow you to make user accounts with different privileges. Check out the info in the codex: http://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities There are also plugins out there that allow you to take it further or offer more features than what is built into Wordpress.
How do i change the size of featured picture in tablet and mobile. It looks weird in “medium” type…..... thanks
the featured picture float to the top instead of left on tablet or mobile..
my site is http://hgzoo.com
You can change the featured image size per post in the post options box, look for featured image width or height option. However that will probably not be a good solution for a specific tablet device. The responsive framework will change based on screen size, your tablet size must not be wide enough to allow the image and title/excerpt to fit side by side so it will drop it to the next line. You can turn off responsive framework and use the fixed desktop layout for all screens and devices. Go to general tab in theme options and turn it off.
But we can take a deeper look at this and determine for certain if you signup and post on our support forum. Be sure to include the device name and size in your forum thread.
Congratulations, 70k purchases
When will you release new versions, 3.5, 3.6…, 4.0?
Thank you Gregorv! Nice to hear from you
v3.5 is coming in a few weeks and is our first major release on our road to v4.
You can stay up to date with our updates on our support forum, look for the Avada Update sticky thread.
Check the following link that shows the basic SEO report for your demo. Can you please check the ‘Code To Text Ratio’ section on this page. You have got good enough content on this page, however your content is 5.68% of the code that has been used. Why is your code ratio so high, how can this be controlled, any suggestion.
First off those test are not always accurate or tell the full story. With that being said, that is our main demo page which is used to show as many features as possible, like a marketing page. This is a unique topic and many very opinionated takes on the right way. Feel free to email us from our profile page to speak with our developer in depth if you have further questions. BTW, the link was removed in your post due to the comment rules here.
I’m interested in purchasing Avada WP theme. Is there a list of plugins that work or don’t work with this theme?
Also, although I’m sure this question has been asked before… When you view the “live preview” all the pages you see, are they avail in the demo pages to work with so that one doesn’t have to start with a blank page? What about the images, are the background images included in the theme? Thanks.
We do not have a complete list of plugins that do or do not work. But you should not have an issue with that, we obviously cannot guarantee that every plugin works with the theme, no theme can do that. But the vast majority that are coded properly will work. If there ever is a plugin issue, you can post on our forum about it and if its theme related we will make adjustments where needed and when possible.
Yes you can import our demo content. We have a built in demo content importer, directly in theme options on the General tab. And its even better than XML files because its imports everything, not just pages and posts. It gives you pages, posts, sliders, widgets, sidebars, theme options and more.
If you want the rev sliders and woo products, make sure to have both of those plugins active when importing.
Check it out! And here is the info from our docs, http://theme-fusion.com/avada-doc/demo-content-info/import-xml-file/
I’m confused….I hear, and have heard talk of the great 4.0 update, and then I hear you talk of the 3.5 update just weeks or months away? Are you simply throwing comments out to keep customers interested, or do you have an actual plan? Are you soon going to start talking of the great features coming in the 5.0 release? Please, just keep it real. Would love to see some style updating the the theme.
Yes of course we have a plan! And you can read about it on our support forum. What benefit would we give by just throwing comments out? Or not “keeping it real” as you put it? That would make zero sense, and certainly not something we would do. We are professionals here, and take our job very seriously and keep our users up to date.
Any of our users can stay up to date with the progress and news on our support forum, which is where have always directed people.
The short story of it is, we have broken up the 4.0 update into a few smaller updates for a few important reasons. v3.5 is the first major update in that process that will lead up to v4 as that is the correct version numbering
Stay up to date with all our other users on our support forum, there is a sticky thread on it, and we are also posting up a detailed post about what it will include about a week before it releases.
Happy Memorial Day by the way Hope you enjoy the holiday!

1. I created the portfolio page, but it displays on 10 items per page. How do I set it so that it displays all items on one page?
2. How do I change color for mouse hover on Menu?
1. Go to theme options > portfolio tab and you can set the number of portfolio items per page there. Or if using the recent work shortcode, you can choose directly in the shortcode how many posts show per page.
2. The link color can be controlled in theme options on the styling tab. Look for this option: http://d.pr/i/qFVs
Please let me admit that I partly agree with what “bmacstudio” wrote above here.
What I mainly disagree with the current Avada version is the anachronistic width of 940px.
Moreover, the secondary sidebar should be a basic element in such a basic theme, the page composer is also long awaited and a cleaner code cannot be disregareded.
The thing is, every week we read “some weeks”, and it is obvious that people have expectations.
If the road to 4.0 has to go through a series of steps, starting from 3.5, it is reasonable not to expect 4.0 any earlier than 2015, and keep working on 940px when most themes now run at 1100 / 1200px.
Thank you for your attention.
Thanks for your feedback! The current site width is 940px, that is how it was originally designed. Yes, we are adding the ability to widen the site to the now more standard 1170px, and possible even wider. When we do that, we are also adding the ability for dual sidebars.
Both of those features are absolutely coming in a future update and will be done before the v4 release. We cannot give you an exact date for that, we have learned from the past that its best to only give out what is coming in our next update, and they are not included in those, but will be in one of the two following that.
The issue with all of this is, developing and making changes to a theme of this size takes a lot of time and care and testing. We above all else, want the changes done before anyone, trust us when we say that. This is our product and we take very good care of it. In development work, it is very difficult to give out release dates.
I do not know any theme developer that actually gives out release dates. We have now learned from the past and do not necessarily do that anymore. Inevitably a date will be missed, or a feature may need to be left out due to technical or time reasons, and then everyone gets upset about it. It is a no win situation. So when users ask, I give my best estimate at that time because that is the most accurate.
Currently we are in final stages of testing for v3.5, which means it is only a few weeks off. However, any date we give is purely an estimation. What happens if an issue arises during testing that requires several items to be changed? Or during testing we realize that a new feature may not work for legacy users? Or if one of our developers get sick or an emergency happens? There are so many reasons why it can be delayed, it is the nature of development work and the main reason why authors or software developers do not give out release dates, or if they do, they are very estimated and will most likely change 90% of the time. The last thing we want to do is rush the process, that only leads to a poor product and something we or our users do not want us to do.
Trust me when I say that we are doing everything we can every single day to get updates released, and continue our support for our users. We have a team of 7 that work daily on it all, it is not a matter of being understaffed, its just the nature of development work.
What we can tell you is that all of that is coming. And no the road to v4 will not take until 2015.
The best thing to do is subscribe to the Avada Update sticky thread on our support forum. That is where we keep users up to date, we are as open about it as we can be and will be posting all the details of v3.5 about a week before its release.
Thanks again! I hope this helps clear some of it up
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed answer. I think all readers will appreciate that.
You are most welcome And we apologize for any confusion that comments may have caused. A detailed reply like this was needed, and we should of posted it sooner.
We certainly know how frustrating it can be to be waiting for a feature or update that you need and not know exactly when it is coming, or for it to be delayed. Those are things we try to avoid but have not been fully successful all the time. But we live and we learn!
We are very excited about 3.5, and 3.6. Those two updates will compromise about 80-90% of the v4 update. Check out the update thread on our forum, it has more info and I’ll also be posting up specific details pertaining to v3.5 in the next 2-4 days.
I agree with numbernine comment about the Avada theme width.
Avada is an awesome theme but this “width thing” is what bothers me.
I purchased other WP themes from other authors, and most of themes I purchased offer in their theme settings an option to simply enter my own custom page width in pixels …. and I can have any width I want …. without being limited to one or two width options.
Also, while talking about the width … it would be GREAT if Avada would offer more column options …
Right now there are maximum of 4 columns offered …. In current limited page width these 4 columns might be OK …. however if you increase the page width, than it should be available in 5 and 6 columns also.
In particular because Avada offers a 100% width option, and 4 columns give you very limited options in 100% page width.
If you can implement this in future updates this would make Avada even more awesome…
Thanks for the feedback!
Yes we totally agree, which is why we stated we are adding width options in the future. When we add width options, we will also add more column options and dual sidebars. Adding more columns and dual sidebars only makes sense with a wider width, so all of that will be done at the same time. Although I do see your point about a 100% width template in the current version. The problem though is that would be the only template that it would work best for which will cause confusion among users.
But never fear, we are widening the site width and will allow the user to choose what it is, overall site width, content width and sidebar widths.
I would suggest subscribing to our update sticky thread on our forum so you can stay up to date with the latest news and info we put out.
Well, I can’t wait for new update … but I know you guys will do it right …. like always …
There is a reason why Avada is #1 … and that reason is … an amazing team of developers, designers and support standing behind Avada theme … keep the good job guys ….
Thanks Mike, we appreciate that
We’re already in discussion about how best to approach this, and are excited to get the final results.
When using the boxed version, is it possible to have a fullscreen video running in the background?
Thanks for your reply and keep up the great work!
Hmmm not at this time, the bkgd for boxed or regular mode is only for images. Great idea though, and I can definitely see us offering that in the future.
Quick question – on resolution at iPad portrait (768×1024) and below – I’m only getting one column of products showing -
Is there an option somewhere for this? It looks a bit weird with only 1 narrow column
Screenshot here for you – http://screencast.com/t/rUBi9XcQ8oq
Yes go to theme options > general and use the “fixed mode for ipad portrait” and it will give you the full desktop view on that ipad size.
Hi – I just updated that option, but it still looks the same at 768×1024 – is there anything else that needs changing?
Have you cleared your browser cache? Are you using a cache plugin also? Make sure all of that is emptied and off.
Also if its not working for you, it could be due to a plugin, or old version or customization, etc. We can take a look on our support forum. Signup and post a new topic there with ten details.
Just bought the theme – but didn’t realise that it has no ‘Visual Composer’ type interface -
I see in a previous comment I think that it is planned – any ideas on how long / or will this work with Visual Composer Plugin?
Yes we are building our own and it will release with v3.6. We cannot give a date out for when that will be done, but it will come sometime after v3.5 which is due in a few weeks.
You can stay up to date with this type of news on our support forum, there is an Avada Update sticky thread there.
Hello, i’ve been using avada for quite some time now. The feeling of this theme is just insane, although i have just 1 or 2 suggestions.
Can you please let us custumize the color of the header (not only white/black).
And the other one that I really would enjoy is if you could let us use carousel sliders for normal posts/pages not just for recent work/clients, because you see we are not all designers and sometimes we use avada (mutli-purpose) for blogging and/or other posts. So if you take a look into carousel sliders page you can imagine the possibilities if we can use them for posts and pages.
Please take a time to consider this suggestion of mine! Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comments
You can already change the color of the header and every other part of the site. Go to styling tab in theme options, you can change the header background color to any color, as well as other sections there.
Yes I agree about the carousels. Although, right now they can be used on port posts, client logos, or for regular images on any page. And we do have plans to allow our recent posts shortcode to use the same thing, that will come sometime in the future but with an unexpected date. But the good news is, it is on our list.
Thanks for the comments!
Is there any way to change the page title bar text from a h1 tag to a h2 tag using custom css or other method?
Appreciate any help,
Thanks in advance,
It would take some code customization. It is H1 for SEO purposes. So if you are just wanting to change the size of the page title text, then you can do that with this theme option on the typography tab: http://d.pr/i/xm8h
If you do want to change it to an H2 though, signup and post on our support forum and our support team may be able to assist you with that.
Hi, is it possible to make sticky menu exactly same as the primary navigation? I would like to keep logo size, padding size etc… and disable the animation. Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately that is not possible out of the box, there are many technical reasons why we set it up like that. However it can be done, but it will require some nifty development work.
