Problem: Since upgrading to version 1.4.1 of the theme, in Firefox, portfolio tiles load on top of each other in the left-top corner of the content area, rather than distributing normally. If I refresh, works fine. But if I click the portfolio link again, same problem. Don’t see any errors in the JS console. Please advise. Thanks!

I am a little bit worried if this theme is a good invest. Why? Last update is 2 years ago, not tested with PHP 8, not Gutenberg- (or Elementor-) ready. Have you planned to update this beautiful theme in the near future?
Hello, thank you for reaching out. We just finished working on an update of our other themes Asana and Coworking and our next plan is to update Bauhaus asap.
In the next update we don’t plan to add support of Elementor. It is possible in more late plans in 2.0 version of the theme.
When will the updates for Asana and Coworking – and later for Bauhaus – be published?
We’ve already updated Coworking, on the week we plan to approve an update for Asana (time depends on the moderator’s team) and started work on an update for Bauhaus. I can’t guarantee exact terms, but usually, it may take a week or two.

Hi there,
I’m using the latest version of WordPress, with the latest version of your Bauhaus theme. I’m getting some issues with the preload screen, in that it never goes away (easiest to reproduce in FireFox, but Safari and Chrome based browsers are the same). I’ve tried using CSS to stop displaying the preload screen, to see what happens. It fixes most of the website, except the portfolio page. Which then loads all the images into the top left corner. When you use CTRL F5 to do a full refresh, the page works. Thanks for your help, Pete

Since updating to Wordpress 5.6 we are running into issues with Bauhaus. When running WP 5.6 pages do not load properly and we get the loading spinner indefinitely. It seems to be an intermittent issue (sometimes reloading the page helps) but it is an issue.
I have reverted to Wordpress 5.5.3 and the site loads all pages without any issues.
Is Bauhaus compatible with Wordpress 5.6? I noticed that you have not released an update to the theme since March 2020. Do you plan on releasing an update that will make the theme compatible with the latest version of Wordpress?

After trying to troubleshoot this issue with Bauhaus and Wordpress 5.6 I have come to the conclusion it is not compatible with the latest version of Wordpress. I have a clean install of Wordpress 5.6 with Bauhaus 1.3.9 without any plugins installed and when I navigate from page to page at some points the pages won’t load and the spinner continually spins. I have investigated the network console and if I disable caching everything works fine. It looks like the theme is loading old scripts via cache and it is preventing the pages from loading. Is there some caching mechanism built into the theme?
I know your stance is that Bauhaus is compatible with Wordpress 5.6 but considering my testing and the fact that you haven’t updated the theme in almost a year, I am concluding it is not. Do you have any examples of the latest theme working with WP 5.6?

I tried your css suggestion and of course it did not help. This is not a css issue. I am under the impression old javascript libraries are being loaded by the theme and not the new ones needed with Wordpress 5.6. The css hid the preloader spinner but the pages still do not load.
i suggest updating your theme to be compatible with Wordpress 5.6.
For anyone else considering buying this theme, I would be leery of it’s ability to run with Wordpress 5.6.
I could be wrong and it could just be my site, but I am running into the same issues with a fresh install of Wordpress and Bauhaus. A lot has changed in Wordpress since the theme was last updated in March of 2020.

Now I see from the post from notjustpcs that others are facing the same issue as I am. I have done several hours of troubleshooting on this issue and I have a good amount of information about it if you want it. It is definitely specific to the portfolio pages.

I used css to hide the preloader so you can clearly see the issue (the same as what notjustpcs reported.) The images in the portfolio are stacked upon each other in the top left of the page. Disabling cache in the browser console fixes the issue. When cache is enabled, the dynamic sizing that is injected into the portfolio wrapper and portfolio image tags do not fire or are unable to.
When cache is disabled or running older versions of Wordpress, position and height attributes are dynamically injected into those tags to place the images in the correct spots using absolute positioning. When cache is enabled and running Wordpress 5.6 the positioning and height attributes do not get placed into the tags.
Although I do not see any javascript errors in the console, my hunch is that the javascript that handles that tag injection is either not included or unable to run.
The latest versions of Wordpress have made changes to migrate.js (or eliminated it.)
I have tried to get this fixed but I haven’t yet found a solution. If you have a solution I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you been able to solve the other two posts here about the same issue?
When you shift-refresh to bypass cache the portfolio pages load fine. However if you navigate to the portfolio pages without a hard refresh they don’t load properly.
In terms of browser cache, I have replicated this issue on Safari, Firefox and Chrome with cache emptied.
You can see what I explained in the previous post in the following screenshots. When loading the page without a hard refresh the portfolioWrap div and the portfolio_item tags do not get the position and height attributes injected into the tags causing the photos to display stacked upon each other in the top left corner.
You can only see this since I have hidden the preloader with css. So no never-ending spinner just the malformed page and markup.

I just installed the theme again, and had to downgrade my Wordpress to 4.7 so the theme could work, however every time I click home to edit my theme the screen freezes and nothing happens. I haven’t installed any plug ins in addition to the ones you have. Please help.
Also I don’t find where the photo in about – the header- is coming from to change it.

I see this done in the theme demo but I cannot figure out where to add the text for each slide. Thanks for your replies. I think I figured it out. The text over the sliders is coming from the title of the slider. This does not leave much flexibility in terms of writing long bits of text over the sliders and be able to control their placement and font treatments. I suppose I can use css for each specific slide to position the text. I only see controls for the color of the text in the theme options. Please let me know if I am missing something. Thank you.
