Hi, I really like this style and I think I will purchase it but I have some questions. Right now I am using a free style with phpBB 3.1.6 and some extenstions,can I still use my extentions with the BBoots style? Google Analytics extenstion PhpDirectory extension Pages extension Notify admin on registration extension Precise simular topics extension Recent topics extension Share on extension
For me it’s quite important to use the above extensions on my forum.

Having said this, from your list they are all almost available except for:
- Google Analytics extenstion, (which you don’t need an extension for )
-PhpBB Directory extension,
-Recent topics extension (which you dont need under BBBOOTS becuase you can use the top5 extension specifically styled.)

Its just an overkill the phpBB Directory. All you need is the Pages extension, which is available. 
Then you can build a nice layout with BBOOTS and Bootstrap. This way will be much more flexible and good looking

Bootstrap is the framework my themes are built on top of. Its original and untouched and this means you can sue any bootstrap compatible layouts. For example tons of snippet to use here: http://bootsnipp.com/ perfect for the pages extension and in your case your custom phpBB directory

I am looking to update a 3.0.11 phpbb forum to the latest version 3.1.7. I would also need an extension to create medals/badges that can be rewarded to users. And I stumbled across your forum after some googling. It said that you are offering this feature, but i can’t se the cost for it unless I first buy the theme? I would like to know more about this mod/extension before I take the plunge and buy anything.

I think it will generate duplicate contents on google search results.. having the same description/keywords on every pages. And last question do you offer a free plugin for social sharing? I wanted to buy the BBoots theme and the Mini CMS today.

Yes there is a possibility, but seeing as those are the standard meta tags google will ignore them anyway and have no SEO importance anymore. The important things are the topic links nowdays.
In any case I can show you how to tweak it further but the “problem” is the phpBB implementation of the overall_header which is as you guessed on every single page:) It will change in the future…

FLATBOOTS is for people who like minimalist design and where the content is king rather than the user information. Needless to say the clean and Flat design just makes everything smooth and pleasant to browse.
BBOOTS is for busy Admins where they need to display many info at all the time. Like links, social medias, gaming clan where they need the user profile in view with all different custom profile etc…

So i think I’m going to pick Bboots but just wondering:
1) will all the phpbb functionality, features etc still be there?
2) without the extra cms module, can nothing be changed without getting in to the code?
3) do you know how to make it so guest can only read a few topic/posts before being prompted to register?

1) yes of course, why wouldn’t they be there? There is actually more under then hood that either add functionally or improves the default behavior.
2) that’s not mandatory. You can still follow the documentation to get things done.

You can add your own custom ranks title and images via the Admin Panel and they will show up in posts, member profile etc.

Regarding the base style, that’s exactly what you will NOT ever see with my themes.
They are build from the ground up rather than just some poorly written CSS and other code based on the obsolete prosilver (never mind subsilver) which what everybody does here and then its marketed as premium theme unfortunately.

The custom premium extensions is premium work added as a “perk” for the clients, they are not needed to enjoy the theme which is $17 (about 14 Euros in your case).
It’s much like you buy a new car but then you decide to get the special rims for it.
They are extra optional and not part of the car purchase.

Hello Dave, the problem is only with Theme I will not be able to change some parts. Example in Footer, I cannot change Twitter, Recent Topics, About etc. Thats why you created the Mini CMS to add support to it, the only way to change it is change directly in the files. I had a look on it already.

I think I have confused you. Let me rectify this,
What you need to do with the theme can be done with NO Mini CMS and the included documentation explains how to do it step by step. (the change of the profile is included in the tutorial over at sitesplat.com )
having said this, the Mini CMS is only needed if the Admin wants to to the changes directly via the ACP rather than editing files manually. its a beautiful addon that saves you time – Again its not a must have if you feel comfortable in editing files.

1) yup super easy. Use This free extension: http://sitesplat.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1269 (accessabile once you purchase the theme) whihc allow you to create custom pages, (HTML enabled) and choose where to put the llinks to the pages, for example main navigation, footer etc…2) sure you can. It comes already with some smart areas. For example yo ucan ge the recent topics to work with this free extensions ported to support BBOOTS theme: http://sitesplat.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1351 then the twitter feed is working, you just need to follow the documentation and learn where to put your twitter ID to have the widget displaying your twets. then you have favorite links, this again pretty straigh forward, wehere you place your custom links, and then you have the about us.
Thre is also this addon: https://codecanyon.net/item/bboots-mini-cms-/8536989 which will allow you to take control of many theme’s blocks and areas ddirectly via the Admin Panel.
3) for the sidebar , sure you could manually. However I suggest my premium addons I developed for my clients. What you need is “BBopenGraph” again a premium addon that not only allows you to add the sahre functionality but adds some super SEO stuff to your forum. Porper SEO tags, GOogle+, Twitter cards, Facebook options and more.

Dave, I have one more question. I bought the theme and some extensions. So before installing it, I wonder if I should install the version 3.1 or 3.2. I cant find phpbb3.2 for downloading, I can only find version 3.10. So is 3.2 an upcoming version and should I start with 3.1.10? Or is the theme version 3.2 working with the latest phpbb3.1.10? Sorry if it is a dumb question, but this is all new stuff for me.

3.2 is not suitable for a live forum yet. Install phpBB 3.1.10.
Then, upload the theme, install the latest version of the BBcore (the lastest version is always on sitesplat.com) and then you can install the premium extensions
