Hello, i’m very happy with your work on this template, but i have a bit of a problem, probably its a simple fix for you:

I see that the scaling of the image in the slider beggins arround 1400px but, beafore that coming from 1920px, it hides a small part of the image on the left and on the right.

For my project i need the image to always be 100% visible, is there a easy way to do it? Start scaling sooner? please reply.

Keep up the good work

Kind regards

Presale Question

Beautiful work – was hard to choose from your collection! Does this include the dummy content as in the demo?

Thank you Ron

Hello Ron

you get exact replica of all pages except commercial images used in our preview which are replaced by placeholders.

Thought so – thanks for your time—I’m gonna grab me one

Love the template but having trouble getting the message form to work. It seems to function correctly through the send message process but I don’t get the email. What am I missing? I did include my email in the PHP file.

Hi, This can be caused by your hosting provider restricting the mail() function in their server to prevent spam. Head to our support forums, open a thread about you issue and one of our guys will take a look. You can find the forum here: http://support.pixelentity.com/forums/34-HTML-Template-BigWig

Hi,

I have a trouble with links.

I use this code :

<div class="span2 project-item peIsotopeItem filter-mairie"> <a class="over-effect" href="http://www.website.com/" target="blank"> <img src="img/blank/230x200.gif" class="peLazyLoading" data-original="images/logos/image.jpg" width="230" height="200" alt="alt text" /> <h6 align="center"><a href="http://www.website.com/?" target="blank">Link</a></h6> </a></div> But when I try it, the link is in reality like that : http://www.website.com/%E2%80%8E So the browser show a 404 error page.

Could you help me to find an issue please ?

Regards,

I solved the problem. This is not bind to the template.

Hello, I noticed that the header or menu is referred to as sticky in the code, yet when i scroll down that page the menu does not follow down the page with me. Is there a way to enable this? I noticed you commented some code out so i wasn’t sure if you did the same for the sticky header and i was just missing it.

Thanks!

Hi, Unfortunately this template doesn’t feature a sticky menu/header. It is possible that at some point in the development phase we were planning to include it but chose not to but a class or two remained in the javascript and still gets applied. Rest assured however, that the code to make the menu function as a sticky header is not present.

Hello again, Is there a way to get rid of the + sign on the images at the top of the page and just have the info button there? This is on the index4.html page.

Thanks!

Hi! I’m interested in your bigWig template.

I need to do a few modifications on the styles and layout, do you recommend the html5 template or the wordpress theme will be easier to work with?

Thanks!

Hi, That’s impossible for us to say because we have no idea what your knowledge of HTML, CSS or WordPress is like. If you want to change layouts in WordPress you will need to know PHP and CSS. If you want to change layouts in the HTML template you will need to know, HTML, CSS and perhaps some javascript (depending on what you want to change). If you want to make modification, we would recommend that you seek the help of a freelancer.

there’s no template.js in alternate/uncompressed can you give us the file please ?

Hi there,

there are no special js files for the alternate version, so just copy the structure of the main folder and replace your html files with the files found in alternate/uncompressed and it should work normally.

Would this work with joomla?

Hi, Unfortunately not. It would need to be converted to a joomla theme before it would work.

I am writing here as I have really need some assistance with a small CSS change that will not take after edit – wrote in the support forums over 3 weeks ago and have waited patient to no avail so hoping this might help me get some assistance. Post here: http://support.pixelentity.com/threads/16091-Color-change-of-info-bar-not-working TIA

Hi Ron, Firstly we’re sorry to have missed your thread, you should’ve posted a comment here after 48hrs of not hearing back from us (outside of weekends).

So about your tweak, our products use compressed CSS which means any changes you make in the actual css file will not take effect. What you should do instead is to open that actual html file for that page and paste the css in the header area. Paste the following in there and then change the hex code to suit:

<style>
.info-bar{
background-color:#444;
}
</style>

Good Morning – thank you very much for the response. I did wait for a while as it was a holiday weekend when I posted the thread and I see that the forum is very busy – not a huge deal and to tell the truth I’m very very happy with BigWig (got a few licenses) but something can’t find something or other. I will post a follow up question in the thread though. I really appreciate the excellent coding of this template.

All the best and thank you once again Ron

Hi, I’ve answered that. Thanks for your patience.

Hi, You will need to get an API key for your website, see this article for more information. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

This is a recent change made by Google to the usage of their Google Maps API.

Thank you for the quick response, But i am not able to track where the changes are required in which file. Can you please guide the path and location.

Hi, open this file:

root folder/framework/js/pe/jquery.pixelentity.widgets.gmap.js

Then on line #63 you’ll see this function:

function check(target,controller) {
        var t = target.find(".gmap").not(".disabled");
        if (t.length > 0) {
            t.each(addTarget);
            $.getScript("http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false&callback=jQuery.pixelentity.gmap&async=2");
            return true;
        }
        return false;
    }

Change the it to this:

function check(target,controller) {
        var t = target.find(".gmap").not(".disabled");
        if (t.length > 0) {
            t.each(addTarget);
            $.getScript("http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?key=YOUR_API_KEY&sensor=false&callback=jQuery.pixelentity.gmap&async=2");
            return true;
        }
        return false;
    }

Replacing where it says “YOUR_API_KEY” with the api key you have acquired form Google. Then save the file.

Now that you have mad a change to the js used by the template you won’t be able to use the compressed js file anymore and will need to load the required js files for the page with the gmap individually. To do this you should use the contact page template found in the uncompressed folder inside the alternative folder: root/alternative/uncompressed/contact.html This file loads all scripts needed for the page separately.

An alternative to this might be to open the minified js file for the contact page and do a search in it to find the function mentioned above, then insert your api key in there and save it. This would mean you don’t need to mess with loading scripts.
