for Customer Support

I am giving this author a second 1-star rating for very poor customer support. I was refused help because I refused to change my previous 1-star rating. It is every customer's right to decide if and when to change their ratings. As per Envato's Item Support Policy, authors are expected to respond to bugs and issues request and help resolve issues, even if that customer gave them poor rating and especially if a customer paid for extended support. But the author of this theme did otherwise, and instead wouldn't help with my issue unless I change my 1-star rating.

for Customizability

I found the theme really awesome for someone who wants everything to start a new blog with all setup ready. Everything is great to attract readers and stay theme engaged.

for Bugs

The theme is great but I'm encountering a couple minor issues (e.g. some category links stopped working, frontend post button redirects 404). Many of the issue I've experienced were posted several times in comments, yet the solutions are hidden from view unless you have support.

I'm giving this theme 3 stars because I feel like the support forum should atleast be public for users to read / problem solve before deciding they need to renew for a support ticket for more direct help.

I don't think it's reasonable that anytime an issue arrises, I'll need to renew support when there's likely a simple solution in the forum one search away.

Hi,

Please don't mislead other customers. You don't have to renew your support if you need a help with any issue. Our support center is open (for free) for all our customers in case they need our assistance in solving theme issues/conflict etc.
Please check https://bringthepixel.ticksy.com/ and you will find the "Bimber - My support license expired" category. This is an open category for all users, mainly for bug reporting, asking questions or suggestions.
Our support team solves all reported issues even if you don't have a valid support license.

for Customizability

I purchased this theme 5 times. It has a lot of potential, the main problem is the SEO (search engine optimizer). This theme has increased the rebound rate of one of my sites from 65 to 87%. The problem is related content. The system does not handle correlation based on tags or categories or tags + categories. This lack discourages the user to click on it. You can not recommend contents that have no relevance.

Hi,

The Bimber theme is highly SEO optimized. It supports microdata (schema.org) and rich snippets along with semantic markup. Our recommendation system (the You May Also Like section after a post content) works based on tags, not categories. If Bimber was 'bugged' there would thousands of people letting us know, and that is not the case. Your problem results from the lack of proper tags configuration.
Let me explain how it works, based on our live demo posts.

I could have chosen any number of reasons to give this theme 5 stars, but had to choose one. It's an exceptional theme and the support is first-class!

for Code Quality

Buggy. Any changes to MediaAce settings causes a 500 error. That's not the only plugin that's not playing well.

Kinda limited design options for post list. For example the masonry/infinite load list. It's 5 columns or nothing at all.

and ... the Header Builder is a mess.

Bottom line: I wouldn't buy it again, and I don't recommend this theme.

We purchased the theme in March, and are creating what would be considered a commercial blog / digital magazine of sorts. We are still not live and so far have 200 + articles, many customization and localization into a foreign language. So obviously when developing a site like this there is going to be problems, questions and bugs. Luckily for us The Bring The Pixel staff has helped resolved the issues we got stuck on.
Support well worth the money, and as a bonus the themes not bad either :-)

I HAVE SOLVED ALL REQUESTS THAT I WANTED, I REALLY REALLY LOVE THEME, IT'S FANTASTIC.

for Code Quality

Out of every template we've purchased, this has to be the worst one. We don't even bother contacting them anymore. Horrible code quality which bogs down the website. Their updates constantly break parts of the site, they fix something another thing breaks. They don't fully test their updates. Sharing plugins have NEVER worked. Some features still don't work and never will like certain ad spots and design options. We finally said let's just update it after vowing never to update again and broke multiple features and completely changed the mobile header which we cannot change back.

We've spent at least 100 hours submitting tickets, fixing issues ourselves and not focusing on actual content. Don't get fooled by how "pretty" it is.

We're in the process of looking for a new theme.

Unfortunately we can't agree with your judgement. The last update was huge and only a few minor issues were reported. I understand you have customizations on your site and something went wrong during update but this is exactly what the support is for. Our team spent a lot of time to test the theme and the code is stable and bugs free. I checked your tickets history and your last ticket was submitted over 6 months ago. So you've been using our theme for last 6 months without problems, without submitting even a single ticket asking for help. And now, you decided to move to another theme.
