I just updated to version 4.0.4 and I see that the “Bone options” page on backend is gone. Is it not available anymore?
And what exactly the plugin “Bone Core” handles?

It has been moved to Appearance → Customize → Bone Settings to follow ThemeForest’s guideline. The Bone Core plugin handles core features of the theme and is required to use the theme as a mandatory by ThemeForest’s requirements.

So, the Meta Box and Meta Box AIO plugins are not needed anymore, right?
No they’re not needed anymore as they were replaced with the ACF Pro plugin.
Hello, i cant seem to get the post type “review” to work – In the documentation it says to <<check Show review score checkbox option.>> but that option isnt available anywhere in the post. can you please give more guidance? Thanks.

I am tempted by this beautiful theme, but i am wondering—can posts be displayed by category on the home page? Or is it only possible to show “latest posts”?
Hi there, currently it’s only possible to show latest posts on the main section of the homepage. However you can list posts by category in the section beneath (More Reading).
Hello I am interested to buy your theme. But before that I have a question to ask. Can we show updated date instead of published date on post and Google search as well? Is there any option for that or by adding some php? If possible do let me know.

Currently there’s no option to use updated date instead of published date, however you can use a child theme with additional php code for that.
Sorry but I don’t know what the fonts are used on that site. Please notice the site is using an old version of the theme, some elements have changed or being removed. Please visit our demo for latest references.

I am very interested in purchasing your theme. I have juste a few questions before doing so.
On the Demo 4, is it possible to add a small extract of the post on the 3 first post on the top? Is it possible to set a limit for the number of post displayed, it seems it scrolls until last one, I would like 10 post maximum and then go to next page. Is it possible to add a section “Featured articles” under the section “Popular” in the sidebar?

1. Right now it’s not possible but I can make you a child theme to do that or we can consider make it an option for the theme.
2. Yes it’s possible. You can set the pagination in the theme’s settings panel for that. Available are: Default (page numbers with next and previous), Next and previous, Load more button and Infinite scroll.
3. The theme has a post listing widget, you can use it to display your featured articles.

Apparently there’s a bug on 2.5 where special characters on Gutenberg image block captions are replaced with symbols, like when the file is not on UTF-8. But it affects only the captions.
For example, “çã” turns into “çã”.
In 2.4 it works fine. Testing with Wordpress 5.7.
If you are about to release a new version, please take this in consideration.

1. Yes, the theme supports Google fonts.
2. Currently posts only show published date but we can add that feature.
3. Yes you can change the primary color of the theme.

Hi there, the theme’s demo includes posts, pages, menus but not the demo pages settings but you can replicate each of the demo pages very easily using the theme’s setting panel. If you have any problem setting up your homepage, just let me know and I will help you with it.

What function does the Meta Box plugin serve? Is it really necessary or can I remove it? It keeps asking me to update/upgrade and refers to a required license key?
It’s used to add extra meta boxes for the individual posts and pages settings. You just need to dismiss the message and it won’t ask for a license any more. If that doesn’t work, send me an email at minimaldog.themes@gmail.com and I will send you the license key.

You can create a child theme then edit the category.php template of the child theme. The featured block is at the top of the parent theme’s index.php.

1. Yes we can use CSS to hide the widget at certain screen sizes.
2. The widget use posts populated by the WP Popular Posts plugin so that’s totally up to the plugin to decide which posts will be shown. We’re pushing an update to make it compatible to the latest changes of WordPress generally as well as Gutenberg.
3. You can add widgets to the sidebar before the latest posts section for your welcome message. The homepage can be set up by selecting options in theme’s setting panel. Unfortunately we don’t offer customization at the moment.
