What happened to the Bookish Wordpress version? I can’t seem to find it.
Bookish wordpress theme was down for the maintenance purpose and now its back again with new and improved features.
This is an incredibly impressive theme and is advanced, not for the novice WordPress user to install and enable. The documentation needs work to be easily understandable but if you are detail oriented all of the information you need to successfully publish this theme is there. I would implore the author to spend as much time on his documentation as he has on his theme.
That being said, the author does offer a one time free installation. I took advantage of this after I tried to load it up three times and had fifty dollars stolen from me by a fiverr.com thief. I should have done that in the first place. I gave CrunchPress all of the information they needed to get my theme installed. Then Allen Parker told me he would not depart me until I got all of the dummy data changed to my own. Also, CrunchPress was quick to respond to my questions. Allen answered every question I asked within 24 hours or less and sent pictures and explanations to walk me through my customization. I was thankful for his professionalism.
Finally the light bulb came on and I figured out what was going on. The theme really isn’t all that difficult to use, it is just not intuitive like the dozens of wordpress themes I’ve built. But it is easily workable and quite impressive for any book launch. I am glad I stuck with this site long enough to see it to fruition.
I will definitely be purchasing this theme for my other book’s sites.
I give the theme 5 stars it is impressive
I give the documentation 2.5 stars it needs work
I give the customer service 5 stars
My total evaluation is 4 stars

I was about to buy the Bookish WORDPRESS version and it is no longer available, which is sad, because this is the Theme we had our hearts set on.
Are there plans to bring the Wordpress version back?
Yes, The wordpress version is down for the maintenance purpose. We are working on it to enhance its features and making the Bookish WP version of the latest standands. Please be-patient WP version will be back soon on theme forest again
TY TY TY TY! Just downloaded it!
Like the last writer, I was here to buy the Wordpress theme. Unlike them, I bought this without checking (My fault entirely, I know! Read and doublecheck before buying!) Is the WP version coming back? Or shall I try and set the template I have up?
Now it’s live again, I can see all the unhappy feedback for the last few versions and that really concerns me. I’m thinking twice about this now, especially as it’s over 3x the price of the non-WP version and I have no use for the ecommerce element.
Hi, I was wondering how to upgrade this theme? Do I have to overwrite all my files and start from scratch?
First you need to take the backup of your theme and its custom settings. Then update the theme to its latest version. In this way your custom data will not be lost
I have the HTML5 version
So where is the Wordpress version now?
That’s what I had thought I was getting.
Looking for the Wordpress theme. I’ll buy it today if you can tell me where to find it.
When will your wordpress theme be available?
Thanks for the reply John! Do you have an estimate of when it will be back?
We are not sure about the Estimate Time. But soon it will be back.
I would also like to know when the wordpress theme will be available. Has it been abandoned or are you working on it?
It looks really great and am in line to buy! Thanks
I too just bought this theme and didn’t realize it wasn’t a wordpress version. Please advise when WP version will be available. email@example.com
How can I changed the color scheme and skin? since in the documentation it didn’t say much info. The default color is orange and I want it blue. Thanks
You can contact our supports team at http://crunchpress.com/support
They can figure out your color and styling issues.
I understand that the Wordpress version is down for maintenance. When can we expect it to be back?
Bookish WP version is in its final phase. We are testing and making it compatible with all newer versions of the woocommerce. Its may time some time.
And how much time do you anticipate it taking?
Wow man you gotta get your wordpress version going. I see everyone wants it over the html 5. Actually I have an interest too though. Client wants a storylineonline.net kind of site.
Hi – I love the Bookish theme and have spent quite a few hours updating the CSS and tweaking it for my purposes. One major problem I’ve run into is that I can’t seem to get external links to work from within the main slider. They work if you right click and select “Open link in new tab” but a regular click does nothing. I need to re-direct visitors who click on the main image of the book to Amazon so they can buy it. Seems like a very normal thing to do from a book landing page!
I’ve opened a support ticket as requested, but this issue remains unresolved. Thanks!
This is one page template and menus and sections are connected with each other. They menu jumps to its relative section through id base system. There fore you cannot insert the external URL over there.
But our supports team have provided you the alternative solution for the custom menu at the ticket you have open.
this theme was updated last 30 November 14….will it still work with the current wordpress standard. thank you…if i can get positive response i will make i buy NOW!
WordPress version is regularly updated and it works perfectly with latest WordPress standards, its last update was on June 30th, 2015. Another update is planned, which will be released in a week +/-
Bought this and I have to say I’m disappointed. The documentation seems to have nothing at all to do with the files sent, and there is no obvious way to try the various themes and skins advertised. I’m waiting to hear back from the support team; I hope I’ve made a daft mistake, because otherwise I’ll have to ask for a refund because it doesn’t appear to have the features its page lists.
Thanks for your purchase. All the features listed at sales page are available in theme. Documentation need an update and we are working at it. We back all advertised features with 06 months free customer support. Your ticket should have been answered by now, if you are not satisfied with customer support please share ticket ID# here so I can look into it.
Ticket number is #574473 . The sales page promises several skins and colour schemes. I’ve searched the files, and the word ‘skin’ only appears in the documentation. It’s hard to square that with your claim that all the listed features are available.
I also don’t see how you can claim the theme is ‘well-documented’ on the sales page when the documentation is so out of date as to be unusable.
I am having the same issue as dredmond28 listed above. I need external links to work from the main banner. Seems like a poor choice to have a “Purchase” button in the banner if it won’t link out to Amazon or a similar book seller. Please advise! Can you make this solution generally available?

I purchased the Bookish Theme for authors and Marketers today and I am unable to upload it to word press. I keep getting an error message that says: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature. Please tell me how I can get this theme uploaded to my word press website. Thanks.
Please try to upload using FTP client as extracted files.

I purchased the html version and I have a bug on the Main Menu which remains active/highlighted on “Home” even if I click on other Menu (the same thing happen on the demo version http://themes.crunchpress.com/?theme=bookish-html)
I saw that the bug has been fixed in 2013 but I didn’t get the correction. Can you please tell me what to do to fix this ?
I opened the ticked #838321 for this.
Your ticket has been answered. Please stay updated.
Apparently I didn’t download the latest version. I purchased the template about 2 weeks ago and the version I got is V2.0.
Where can I get the latest version of this HTML version ?
