Will this be getting a 2022 update?

I bought the theme some time ago. Now I have installed it again. Now I can’t even call up the internal help. Instead, the theme author begs me to sign another maintenance contract. A quick look at the chandelog tells me: Last update 4 March 21 and latest supported WP version WordPress 5.1.x.

Will you be updating the theme to fix the missing caption on the gallery images? I see someone else asked about the captions 9 months ago above and you told them you’d email them. Can’t this be fixed for everyone? I just updated to the Version: 1.9.3 and all the captions disappeared in mine too.

Just noticed on your demo page the captions are still working…https://demos.pixelgrade.com/border/gallery/another-little-peck/ ...the peacock image. Are you still using the 1.9.2 on your site?

I understand what you mean, and unfortunately, the fix for this issue was not included in this version. If you can see in the changelog, this was a minor update to make sure that the theme is compatible with the WordPress release (5.7). The permanent fix will be included in the next theme update.

As a temporary solution — Please try the following CSS and let me know if it helps:

.gallery-infobox { z-index:9999; }

Insert it in Appearance → Customize → Additional CSS.

Border theme appears to break Elementor (v3.10). When you edit with elementor it hangs loading the Elementor interface. Disabling all plugins made no difference but as soon as I switched themes Elementor starting working again ?

Elementor plugin works and has been tested with some of our themes, but not Border.

You can use it but I can’t guarantee that it will properly work with our theme.

To be honest, you don’t need a page builder plugin to work with Borer theme. We created our own system that allows you to build galleries and projects. However, if you want to use Elementor on other static pages, there’s no problem.

When opening a gallery on mobile, regardless if it’s iOS or Android, you can navigate thorough image galleries. Hello, Loving this theme. I just added the “shop” feature , which looks great on a desktop but on a mobile the hover feature is locked and you can’t see the images, just the title and the price (over the picture). It works/displays perfectly when on “customise” mode for mobile off the desktop, but doesn’t actually work on a mobile. Can you please show me how to amend this? Any reason why the photo for the products only populate after I refresh the products page? Example I have two products. When you visit the products page no photo is displayed. However if you hover the area the product name appears. Once you refresh the page the product image pops up

Had bought this theme in 15. What I found is that a few critical things were broken for unknown reasons.The authoring company has created a dependency on some of their plugins which are NOT a part of thetheme itself & you have to install them, eg PIXTYPE,etc & the biggest eyesore of them all, PixelgradeCare. WHY should i internally connect my WP to PG servers when there is already a key to validate if I have bought the theme legally or not.The PixType is aREQUIRED plugin to create custom type posts for the Portfolio Masonry archive view. & when you go into Settings it shows a blank page . When I contacted PG via their email they reply: ’’From what I can see, the support for your Border theme expired. You can continue using the theme, but if you want to get the benefit from our support, you have two options: You have 2 opt: #1.Ext the support via Env that means you need to pay 87.5% of the theme’s price, which means $65,63. You get 6 months of support and need to do the same after the other six months and so on. This is how Envato works, or #2.Purchase the theme again from our shop this time, because here we can offer lifetime support and updates, which was not possible via Envato. The price on our shop is $95 and get lifetime support and updates, as mentioned. If you choose this second option,I can offer you a generous discount of 20%. That means you get Border with lifetime support and updates for only $76, instead of renewing it for $65,63 for 6 months.’‘

This might be a way for them to earn money, but I suspect foul play here.There have been dependencies created on external plugin and I feel that once I renew their support for those dollars it will all star working magically. Of course they will make it seem like I am a newbie and I dont know how to do things. Something is not right.This is not a case of a few dollars but more of ethic-pushing people to pay up is wrong. Esp when they have paid up for a theme that should work on a fresh install.

I’m sorry to hear you feel like that. It’s far away from the kind of experience we want to provide for our customers.

I’m not going to argue here, but I just want to underline something. Since purchasing through Envato you get limited time support and since we’re not exclusive authors here, we decided to offer alternatives to our customers, so they can choose – extending the support via Envato, or purchasing lifetime license from our shop. There’s no scam, or non-ethical issues here at all.

Also, as mentioned at the beginning, once you own a license, you can continue using the theme without problem. You can even update the theme (manually), but you can’t get the benefit of our support anymore after the support expires.

However, related to the issue you’ve been facing — most probably there was a compatibility issue between PixTypes plugin and I could have investigated it further, but you didn’t give me the chance.

I hope you found a much better solution for your website and for your needs.

Hello Alin, You have conveniently decided to evade the technical aspect of the question. No one is saying that a company doesnt have the right to earn money BUT when you make it VERY CLEAR that you wont listen to me at all unless I PAY, then the matter seems pretty much closed to me. Compatibility issue with an EXTERNAL plugin that you made mandatory with a newly installed theme on a fresh WP install? Are you kidding me? You lost this one bro. Thumbs down for being unethical.

I would appreciate if you respond in a way that does not try an insinuate the customer here. Obviously you have risen from your slumber after a week. Not only this but you refuse to admit to the possibility that it is our own plugin that you developed is broken.You conveniently ignore the fact that i mentioned : It was a clean install with NO PLUGIN, but only FOUR PLUGINS that YOU FORCE us to install from your own company – PixelGrade. Listen up mate, I am emailing you once more, but one day or the other you guys will be out in the open without you unethical practices of making people pay you money for support which they shouldnt be needing in the first place.
