Hello! I have an issue with my website www.horseglogovacation.com and its theme borderland. It suddenly stopped working and my website not showing, just crashed. I changed it to other theme, but it looks pretty bad, I would really like to have my original borderland theme active. But when I try to activate it I get an error again.
I got this email:

Thanks for your reply! For some reason I cannot find the exact account I bought the theme with and because of that I cannot find my purchase code. But I know that my website was using borderland theme for several years and it worked well. Is there a free version of the theme that goes with WordPress? I was wondering – if I buy Borderland theme again now, will I get the newest, updated version and when I install it on my website will my problem be solved (I was told by support that the problem is in the fact that the borderland theme is not updated on my website)?

There is no free version of the theme unfortunately, since we are exclusive authors on Themeforest our themes can only be purchased from there.
If you purchase it once again you will get access to the latest theme files and updates of the theme, as well as 6 months of support that is included.

Hi! Since I couldn’t find my old account used for buying a Borderland theme, I purchased a new Borderland theme, installed it on my website (www.horseglogovacation.com) and the situation is still the same. My website is still not showing its content. I was told by One.com support team that Borderland theme needs to be updated (modified in some way, I am not sure, the author would know) to be compatible with PHP version 8.1. Is it possible that that author can do that, update the theme to be compatible with PHP 8.1, I am sure there are other people who have the same problem? Let me know, it’s really urgent!

I can’t find where to activate my theme and not getting an option for support because I cannot activate the theme. It has issues on the home page with screen flicker.
Re-installing resolved the flickering – still not option to activate but found where to submit a support request without having the theme activated. LOVE this theme!

Hi Guys,
I bought your theme as it really suits my look and feel and I’m very happy to start building my own page. I installed the theme, downloaded the demo data but I noticed that my ’’pages’’ tab in the left admin panel from Wordpress is not showing up? Therefore I can’t reach and my pages menu to manage all my websites pages in admin.
How can I fix this? If I switch over to another theme the pages tab pops back up. Thanks

Hi! Because of Corona we couldnt continue with working on the theme (it was only needed now, 3 years later), and we can’t open a ticket anymore. Plugins, like the stachethemes event calender, do not work with it since the theme packs the shortcode elements into pre tags, such as here: develop.citizendata.de/veranstaltungen-2
Is there any way to standardizedly remove the pre tags wrapping the shortcode?

The compatibility with PHP8 was improved in latest theme update.
We’ve included compatibility with block-based widgets (added in WordPress 5.8) in latest theme update so theme should work correctly on latest version of WordPress.

Hi, I have updated my theme but I am still receiving this message. Is the latest version compatible with WooCommerece?
“Your theme (Borderland) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this: Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.”

And please update your theme and plugin files, vc composer is now version 6.8, we are on 6.3 with your theme ;-(
Also, do we need jQuery Migrate Helper anymore with theme V2.3 and wp 5.9?
and i send you an email to have the last version of VC composer in emergency as i update to WP 5.9 and seems to work with little bug due to the version of the builder i guess…
but lots of bugs with php 8.0, return to 7.4… ;-(

Hi! I’m updating the theme with the last version. I’m using a child theme to add some modifications. Once I update the main theme, some of the settings in the theme are missing (like footer settings, for example). Is there a way to export the theme settings so I don’t lost them every time I update the theme?

When you update the theme and bundled plugins it is necessary to navigate to Theme Options -> General and click on ‘Save Changes’ button in order to generate a new dynamic CSS file. The theme options aren’t lost when the theme is updated, however it is necessary to click on ‘Save Changes’ so css file with these settings would be generated.

I tried that and it’s not working. I’ve saved changes on the Theme options screen, everything seems to go well but when I refresh the frontend the settings are not being applied and I’m getting this error on the console that I think maybe has something to do with this:
GET …./wp-content/themes/borderland/css/style_dynamic_callback.php?ver=5.8.2 net::ERR_ABORTED 500
If I go back to the previous theme version and do exactly the same, I’m not getting any error and the website looks ok.
I’ve tried on a localhost copy of the same website (same plugins and everything) and it’s working, so maybe it could be a problem with the hosting…

Hello, I am trying to implement different headers for different pages/categories. I implemented my logic in header.php for child theme, but when i change pages, it seems like the header is not reloading (rerendering). e.g on categories/food i want to use img1 and on categories/destination i want to use img2. This seems possible only when i refresh the whole page. I noticed that when changing pages, content refreshes, the loader is shown for body but not for the header. Is there an option somewhere in the code to enable reloading the whole page when route changes?

Please navigate to Elated Options -> General -> Settings and try setting “Page Transition” option to “No Animation” and “Loading Animation” to “Off”. When transitions are turned on, header and footer are not reloaded, only content get reloaded.
